I don't care for 1up. Their opinions are usually not that of my own. They gave Disgaea 2 a lower score because it was too similar to Disgaea 1. Aparently they don't know Disgaea. /off-topic rant

If they go nuts up they owe me some money. I had a subscription to OPM (awesome mag) and when Sony pulled out Ziff shut it down and gave me two years of EGM.. Is only a Meh rag but something to read on the ****ter nonetheless. What else is out there worth a read?

To be fair, Disgaea 2 does seem a weaker game (haven't finished it yet).. but moreso because the main characters aren't as funny.

Yeah, I agree with you about the characters. I think some of it might have to do with the fact that Disgaea 1 was adapted by Atlus, and Disgaea 2 was brought over by NIS America.

OPM and GI were my faves until OPM died. So far nothing has filled the void but my 4 years with GI have yet to fail me.

I feel your pain! I was so heartbroken when OPM was taken away. For what? A cheap rip off that is EGM! What a freaking joke!

OPM was a very surprising mag for me. I had it for two good years until it died. When I first was tipped off about it by a friend who wouldn't shut up about it I expected fanboyism like that of the mediocore OXM and horrid Nintendo Power.

The day I found myself subscribing merrily I ate my words terribly.

I also get OXM but I have to admit I only like for its demo disc
