So we all know it will support GH2 for the 360 and obviously the one built for the game, but can anybody confirm if Rock Band for the 360 will support the Guitar Hero 3 controller for the 360?
Thanks.

Q: Will my Xbox 360 GH controller work with Rock Band?
A: We intend on supporting the X-Plorer guitar controller, yes. We also intend on supporting any third party controllers that come out. We know that the fans want a choice of controllers to play our game and we have no desire to get in the way of that. That said - our Fender Strat controller is going to have some added features that bring some extra awesomosity to the table and the X-Plorer controller may not have the capabilities to utilize all these features, but you should be able to play the game unhindered.
The FAQ is your friend ;) (http://www.rockband.com/index.php?do=/public/content/file_faq/dir_language/)
To answer your question, yes most if not all 3rd party controllers should work with Rock Band, this definately includes the X-Plorer as well as GH III's Les Paul.

They've confirmed the X-Plorer will definitely be supported - but, unless I've missed something, I don't believe anything has been said about GH3's Les Paul yet.

I don't like bashing people on forums, mostly because it isn't necessary and you can get your point across otherwise. But good Lord.....all the guitar controllers do is remap the buttons on the controller, so yes every guitar will be compatible with EVERY GAME.

Basically, nobody knows one way or the other, outside of the companies involved anyway - so until there's been official confirmation, then any speculation is simply that, just speculation.
