View Full Version : E-Mails Confirming Returned Instruments?

So a while back in January I had to send my guitar in because of a faulty strum bar. I did the express method and got the new guitar, worked perfectly, and promptly sent my old one back.

I never, however, received a confirmation e-mail saying that they got it. So I e-mailed EA and after a very long period they got back to me saying that they did in fact receive my old guitar.

Now, in the first part of February my drums took a crap on me and I had to send for new ones. They came, and did not work. Yellow pad wouldn't respond at all and the red constantly skipped. So I decided instead of sending in my old ones I would send back the ones they sent me.

So I sent them back last Friday (Feb 15) and have still yet to receive a confirmation e-mail. I have to repeat this process and get another set of drums sent to me but first I want to acknowledge that the drums I sent back were received.

So my question is, have any of you who have sent your peripherals back ever gotten a confirmation e-mail? This is REALLY starting to bother me. If I don't get an e-mail by tomorrow I will have to contact EA yet again for this problem. I like the ease of getting replacement peripherals, but if there is any problem with it, EA's support gets a thumbs down from me :(

And yes, I have checked both my inbox and bulk folders every day since I sent the drums out.

Nope, they don't send a confirmation email when you do the Express Return and they receive your defective equipment.

Your best option is to write down the tracking number on the Return label before you take it to UPS. That way you can track it yourself online.

Hmmm, on the instructions in the box they send you it says that you will be sent a confirmation e-mail.

In fact I have the guitar instructions here that say specifically at the bottom that an automatic e-mail notification will be sent when your return is received and verified.

I never got an E-mail from EA when holds were removed, packages shipped, or packages arrived back at EA. I'm pretty sure they don't e-mail you warning you that they are about to charge you $125 or that they have charged you $125 for being late on returns.

Be that as it may, you still won't receive one.

Just make sure your questions on the Rock Band support are still active. Granted sometimes it doesn't help because:

The actual shipping part is automated, I got two boxes in the span of two days.

The actual instrument turnaround is not, they FORGOT to send my RMA'd drums back.

Why not contact EA and see if they want the pads back. If not then you can feel good about having 2 sets...otherwise it is stealing (even if it started out as a mistake by EA...you know better)

I'll look into the confirmation that we have received your old items not being sent. You should receive an email when your old items reach us.

If you have any concerns about your individual RMA you can send EAxViolet or myself a private message (http://www.rockband.com/privatemsg) with the RMA number and we can look into it for you.

Cheers,
MetroJack

Ive returned 2 guitar and a drum pedal.... never recieved a confirmation email from them.... the only way i know everything is good is because i went to the ea support page, logged into my questions and saw that the three incidents were labeled "complete"
