Satisfied with Kay's explanations about the origins of the Rock Band drum experience and its physical/digital development, we unleash the one nagging question that remained in the back of our collective minds. When asked if the Rock Band microphone could be mounted onto the drum set for some single-player, multi-part action, Kay laughs and replies, "No, but we do support headset mics, which are ideal for singing while you drum. Phil Collins would be proud."

It's obviously nothing concrete, but the mention seems rather curious. I remember the Game Informer preview of Rock Band talking about the microphone and its tambourine feature. The cowbell was hinted at which seemed to all but confirm Don't Fear The Reaper. And of course, DFTR was later announced. Given this Collins mention, I wouldn't be surprised to see a song in Rock Band from him. Also, if you played Vice City Stories, you'll note just how open he is to participating (and being featured) in videogames.

Assuming he is in the game, which Phil Collins song would you like to see in Rock Band?

I'm pretty sure he's just the only drummer that's also famous for singing.

Although something from his Genesis years ought to be pretty nifty. Prog Rock is generally a good fit for this type of game.
