View Full Version : What would be the hardest possible band/song for the game?

I'm going to say this one:

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=12348268

Hella is a math/noise rock band. Some of their songs don't have vocals (or bass, for that matter...) but seriously, listen to some of that. The guitar sounds Buckethead-ian, and the timing on the drums sounds impossible. I'm not going to suggest a song, because they probably have better ones than these and I suck at distinguishing guitars from keyboards, but I'm sure at least one of their songs could at least get in as DLC.

Waht do you think would be the hardest band you could possibly gbet in RB?

the hardest band would be Dragonforce, who I hope does not get in the game...

not even close

idk wut the hardest would be. other than throdenda'ls alan holdsworth like solos meshuggah's guitar patterns really aren't THAT complicated, and the bass is almost non existant, but it would be the hardest on drums and maybe vocals if you can't do the metal voice of jens kidman

have you heard the guitarist in Dragonforce, he's like mad-fast...it's crazy, have you seen the through the fire and flames video for GH3? it's crazy quick...Now, i'm definately not a fan of Dragonforce, but i do give their guitarist credit for his sweet playing...maybe if they renamed the band and switched up the *** lyrics, i would actually like them...

Maybe if they changed their name to "T.I. Pain Money Millionayrez" and started singing in ebonics. "I ROCK 'CUZ I'M FLY, YOU CAN'T 'CUZ YOU NOT".

Well, this didn't work very well.

Dragonforce would be very hard. The guitars would be about even with Hella's, but outside of the solos are mostly just really fast tremolos, so Hella would be more fun. I'd call bass/rhythm a tie for each, Hella's drums sound harder, but Dragonforce has harder vocals(Although DF's drums/Hella's vocals still sound pretty hard). So Hella just wins out on difficulty, and pwns on being more fun to play.

newwaytodie - I've never heard that song, I'm going to look it up later.

The Troggs - Wild Thing.

No way. Too hard. It'd be just plain mean to put that madness in the game.

that would be the hardest song because there is no instrument for claping and stomping

Okay, this is not a song I would call "Good" by any means, but I think it could be a contender for the Hardest Song Possible in Rock Band. Overlook the fact that there's no double bass pedal so the bass drum part would go from incredibly difficult to humanly impossible.

Veil of Maya - "Entry Level Exit Wound" (http://www.myspace.com/veilofmaya)

Runners-up:

Chiodos - "We're Gonna Have Us A Champagn Jam" (http://youtube.com/watch?v=NtvVKPRV1eE)
(Links to a stupid AMV because it's a studio version of the song rather than live video. I suggest turning off your monitor while you listed to avoid the filth.)

Emerson, Lake, and Palmer - "Tarkus"
This song is moderately difficult, but the sheer amount of endurance it would take to play for 20 minutes would be the true challenge. Would be especially hard if the guitarist was made to play the keyboard part (like in certain GH2 songs). Singer gets to relax until three minutes in.

King Crimson - "21st Century Schizoid Man" (http://youtube.com/watch?v=gpX71RZeev4)
Another early prog classic. Incredibly difficult drum and bass. Bass is moderate in difficulty. Would be a blast to play IMO.

An obvious first choice would be Dragonforce - Through the Fire and Flames

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/vDesqj7HOgA"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/vDesqj7HOgA" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

and the close second would be Helloween - Keeper of the Seven Keys.

Well, here's a hard song that people actually like.

Burn - Deep Purple. Seriously, listen to how fast the drummer is. And that guitar solo would be hell on my fingers.

Nice choice! Ian Paice is a great drummer!

I have a feeling DP will be in Rock Band(GHI, GHII(xb)).

Burn would be damn sweet.

I'd have to go with a duel song between Dragonforce and Gogol Bordello. It doesn't exist but if you've heard the two bands, you'd know that putting the two together would be sheer insanity. Insanity.

L'via for sure, crazy guitar solo intro and the lyrics are in Spanish! Also there's a wicked set of drum fills that bridge between two riffs.
