In the noob faq it has a vid of the rock band demo with them playing Welcome to the Jungle which I'm sure everyone has seen. You said it's not going to be in the game now. Why?

Well here's how I understand it:

Harmonix made that demo just as a test for the game and around that time they tried to get GnR. Well when Slash and Velvet Revolver signed onto GHIII they took the GnR tracklist with them.

That's why Welcome to the Jungle is in GHIII now.

I highly doubt that GnR being in GH3 suddenly made them off limits to Rock Band somehow. Unless Activision specifically requested them to be exclusive as part of the deal, it would make no sense for GnR to not make more money from another videogame using their music. Remember Metallica being announced for Rock Band and then later on for GH3. I don't think these artists are all that interested in being exclusive to one game or franchise.

I think it's very probable we'll be seeing GnR in Rock Band on DLC, if not on the shipped game. For all we know there could be a whole GnR album planned for download. Don't underestimate the rewards of being connected with MTV.
