I suppose your playlist is a pretty good set of classic rock songs. Honestly, though, you couldn't find a single song after 1990 that you enjoyed? Good music continued to be made aft -
Vertigo-U2
What the @#%&? Of all the songs after 1990 you could have picked? Vertigo? U2 has great songs from the '80s like With Or Without You and Pride, very good songs from the '90s like Beautiful Day and One and you chose their worst single. I am disgusted. From the moment you hear "one, two, three, fourteen" uttered in Spanish you have to know that song is going to be bad.
That aside, nice set of classical rock songs.

School's Out-Alice Cooper
Welcome To The Jungle-Guns N' Roses
Frankenstein-Edgar Winter
Slow Ride-Foghat
Paint It Black-The Rolling Stones
I'd rather not have songs we've already had. And, uh, Frankenstein? This game has a singer too, you know.
By the way, you should replace WttJ with Nightrain (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtyqIRMJLCs) or Garden of Eden (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7SYtuHUP3s). And replace Paint it Black with It's Only Rock and Roll (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6Qc2oGR84s).
Ramblin' Man-The Allman Brothers Band
You should replace it with Sailin' 'Cross the Devil's Sea (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0a5KfMjrvA). Ramblin' Man has boring drums despite the awesome guitar. Sailin' has both awesome drums and guitar.
Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds-Beatles
Um... no. It doesn't even have a guitar solo, and the guitar is repetitive anyways. Replace it with Helter Skelter (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OP0u9HUo1-Q) or Revolution (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87yq372R4Ts). Maybe even Rain (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTLJMSbEnn0) for sheer kickass drumming.
Hotel California-Eagles
Eh, decent, but it's rather slow paced, and while the solos sound fun, the middle four minutes sound kind of dull. A fast-paced Eagles song would fit the game much better. Try Already Gone (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63-FiTO2XUg) or Life in the Fast Lane (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2u51ziGCyxo&mode=user&search=). They also have better drums.
Layla-Eric Clapton
Actually, the song is by Derek and the Dominoes, but since Clapton was in that band, I can see why you'd be confused. Anyways, this fits Guitar Hero perfectly, but it would suck in Rock Band. No vocals and very slow, boring drums for the entire last four minutes. Check out another Derek and the Dominoes song, Why Does Love Got to Be So Sad (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxWOfJpPQuU). Also, check out Clapton's other band, Cream. Especially White Room (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyJdSvth7w4).
Purple Haze-Jimi Hendrix
The drums are pretty boring. Remember, this is a game for all four band members. Check out Fire (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jr8YPjhJgDI), it's awesome all around. Castles Made of Sand (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNAmzsuJolk) and Freedom (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qezM-Ly5dYM) are worth a look too.
Black Dog-Led Zeppelin
Aerosmith-Sweet Emotion
Light My Fire-The Doors
Deuce-Kiss
Crazy Train-Ozzy Osbourne
Hit Me With Your Best Shot-Pat Benetar
Jamies' Cryin'-Van Halen
Pinball Wizard-The Who
Right on!
P.S. Also, check out Child of Innocence (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I44xJLn20hA)
