People have been *****ing about wired/wireless for ages, so lemme throw some more petrol on the fire that is the discussion.

http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e115/Taylor-704/proof2.jpg

I know this is only a prototype etc etc but HMX said they were nearly finalized so i dunno, make your own judgement.

http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e115/Taylor-704/proof1.jpg

But this is better because we know both the controllers on the E3 Stage Demo were wired, but so was this controller that the microphone was plugged into. So therefor, there MUST have been some kind of hub like the drums, unless the drums were somehow wireless which makes no sense :S

I could write more but im tired, lemme hear your opinions :)

I HAVE BEEN *****ING FOR WEEKS OVER "THERES GONNA BE A DAMN HUB OK" BUT NO ONE LISTENED. Thx Joe :D

I'm still buying everything individually so I can have wireless guitars!

I'm not worried at all about this...I'm sure Harmonix did what they did to make the demo work at the time. Be patient and all be sorted out at the right time.

Wires or no wires, I'm getting Rock Band.

And in real life, your guitar isn't wirelessly hooked up to your amp is it? No, so I think the wires give it a more realistic feel.

Actually, you can do that now.

Lol, well back when these songs first came out they played with wires!

Wireless/Wired is the least of my worries about this game. Guys who cares. GH1 and 2 were both wired. Its still a blast to play.

How about a separate wire than unplugs into the amp thing, just in case you have no batteries?

I wasnt actually *****ing about wired/wireless, like alot of you i couldnt give a monkeys about it. Im just pointing out, i THINK all of the instruments in the demo were wired.

I've read that the hardware used in E3 wasn't finalized. Who knows whats gonna happen. Maybe in one of the upcoming gaming expo we'll get something.

I believe that during that demo the other guitar was wireless perhaps? i think there was a part when they lost signal and it paused for just a second.

If your talking about the peter more e3 demo, then nope it wasn't wireless. It was just prototype guitars where the start button was in a bad place and he accidently kept hitting it.

How about:

A) E3 runs dev kits so everything must be wired.
B) I doubt they'd be wireless less somebody steal it
C) 360s JUST got wireless guitar support. Code unready perhaps?
D) This has nothing to do with the bundle.
E) GHIII's Les Paul was wired and it isn't even available in retail wired.

The controller thing is a good lil' tidbit though.

And more importantly: WHO CARES?

Wired or not, it ain't gonna affect gameplay.

I think the whole wireless thing has just been blown out of proportion. Nice if they do it, convenient yes, but not game-breaking.

I am more excited to see the new fret button design, new solo buttons, larger/heavier controller, new-fangled 5-way switch, etc.

i dont understand the OPs original point/question. are you implying the demo wired instruments nearly being final mean that's what will be packaged for the xbox bundle?
or are you saying since all those instruments are wired they used a hub?
i think it would be safe to assume for the xbox that you will not have to worry about buying any hub if you choose to buy the bundle. it wouldn't make sense to package all the goods together, but not be able to play them together out of the box.

and as for the wired/wireless feel of a real guitar...sure we've moved into the wireless age. it's been that way for a while now. same technology used in wireless microphones you see on tv. but im sure if any of us rock in real life, we dont have the $ or the need to buy a wireless transmitter. the stage is so small we can be leashed (i apologize if any of you are rockin some serious shows). id bet we all use cables (zaolla, ftw!). i could care less about the "feel" of playing a real guitar though. all that goes out the window carrying a plastic toy, no chords, and no picking, just flipping a switch up and down. if i want to feel like playing a real guitar, id play a real guitar :)

Ah, but if you didn't want to feel like you were playing guitar, you wouldn't really be playing Guitar Hero, would you? ;)

not true at all. truth is i dont own a ps2 or xbox. i only have a ps3. i actually got it for blu ray, but of course i'll use it to play games too since i have it.

a friend introduced me to guitar hero and i never once thought of it as a substitute for playing a real guitar. i just thought it was great to have a video game with classic rock songs. the first couple songs i played were some of my favorites like killer queen, and i love rock and roll. i sucked at it, but it was good fun. :)
although now that i think about it, maybe in a way it was a substitute...since i liked those two above songs, but i would never play them in real life. hmmm.

Yeah, I wasn't really implying that was the reason anyone plays GH. I am saying that it's the reason it was so successful. Unlike other rhythm games you either use the gamepad (weak) or kill yourself (DDR). Do you think you would have enjoyed GH as much if it weren't on a guitar peripheral?

In any case, feeling "authentic" is part of the draw of the game. W/e, I've gone off topic enough...

i have a feeling youre trying to recommend a detachable USB cable, but I dont know for sure. I only think that because I've mentioned it a couple times on here in one of the many wired/wireless posts. basically it would be advantageous to mimic the ps3's six axis system of having the option to be wired or wireless. best of both worlds.

Haha, thats funny. I KNOW everything was a prototype, i was just wondering what you guys think about everything being wired, therefor there must have been some kind of USB hub there so all of the HMX members could play

No, there's a wire visible. When the camera pulls away from the screen the first time, the guy with dreds has a wire going down. You can see it on his left leg. Our left. His right.

My XBOX is about to bite the dust, and I have to send it to Microsoft so they can fix a goofy manufacturing error. I just hope it doesn't interfere with Rock Band-ing in the future.

You can fix your RED Ring temporarily with towels.

Step 1: Wrap your 360 in 3 bath towels. Take off the hard drive and unplug AV Cable.
Step 2: Power it on for 20-25 minutes.
Step 3: Un-Wrap and let it cool down.
Step 4: Put it back together and have fun.

Don't believe me? Search youtube for "Xbox360 Towel Trick"

I swear to god im gonna kill the next person that has a go at me about wired/wireless. Lemme make this clear so everyone can understand me.

No-one pointed out the instruments in the Stage Demo were wired, i thought you guys might appreciate that, obviously not. There, happy?

Your attempt is appreciated but the debate and theory is tired and annoying.

Don't get offended. Just realize you beat the dead horse and move on.

Getting offended on the internet is pointless. Just chill man. Nobody is blaming you for a thing.

They aren't wireless, look closely you can see wires coming out of them, they only "appear" wireless because it is really hard to see because of the quality of the video and the distance away from the guitars it is.

Look at the guitarist on the left, I think his wire is easiest to see since he is wearing light colored pants.
