Intel quad cores beat the -blam!- out of anything amd has out there.

AMD always were better for gaming I was told. The floating point math is handled better for physics or something.

As far as physics handling, if you're going to go all out. Get an Agea Phys-X Card.

Through my own experience I know AMD are better. My computer downstairs is running a pretty nice Intel Core to Extreme yet my AMD 2ghz x 2 laptop runs games easier despite sharing the same amount of RAM and basic specifications.
Your computers good I'm sure, but you could have got better for your money.
The two rules:
AMD > Intel
ATI > NVidia

ATI > NVidia
Yeah, not really. ATI has let me down big time.

My experiences of ATI have been better, ever since my GeForce 4 kept frazzing up at Counter Strike all those years ago...

The one thing i would do is get a smaller HD for your system files and a second larger HD for everything else...you could partition it but for safety sake I'd go with two...
I've burned up two ATI GPUs and so far my nVidia is doing good...only 6 months old but you know...
That is gonna be one *****in' machine...

Quoted for extreme physics awesomosity.
Seriously though, that looks like a pretty good system. I'm in agreement with the dual hard drive situation... it makes things a bit more complicated, but having a system drive and an "everything else" drive is a godsend.
