2nd Guitar; Won't turn on. (PS3)

Ill start from the beginning,

I bought RB about a week ago and was playing it fine until the other day the guitar turned off immediately after it had been turned on and would not turn back on. After getting new battery's and trying different methods posted on the forums ( Unplugging dongle, restarting PS3, etc...) it would still not turn back on. So I returned it......

I got the new RB set yesterday and me and a some friends were playing through the 2nd song we had ever played with the new guitar when the notes stuck down and the guitar ceased to communicate. I restarted the PS3 in hopes of fixing it. The guitar turned off but WILL NOT turn back on.

I have tried some of the simple fixes but none have worked.

Any help would be appreciated.

i'm sure you've already tried, but try pressing the button on the guitar receiver (the box the gets plugged directly to the ps3). i had that happen and that takes care of it for me. Good luck.

I encountered the same problem several times, and what I did to fix it was to unplug the power of PS3, take out the batteries in the guitar, wait a few minutes (don't know if this help or not), put in the batteries, turn on the guitar BEFORE turning on the PS3 again. If that still dosent work, try load up the game, sometimes the guitar will suddenly came on when the game is loaded.

It worked for me a few times. BUT, last night when I was trying to play, the guitar won't respond again. I tried various "fixes" for 5 hours, it didn't work for me this time... So :(

Anyway, just a suggestion for you to try on. I hope yours will work out fine. For me, I think I have to figure out a way to get a replacement over here in Hong Kong, if it still doesn't work tonight.

Yeah, I believe I read a post made by you previously and I have tried those things you mentioned. Its good to hear that im not the only one with this problem tho. Im wondering if it has happened to all the ones my store received as I know for a fact I got both of my guitars from the same shipment.

Well...for me, my guitar's light wouldn't turn on when it is not connected. That means, if my PS3 isn't on, or the dongle wasn't plugged in, the light on the guitar would not turn on until I do so.
