Hey guys here is not my top ten songs, but ten songs I think would work great in the game. These are basically the first songs that popped up on shuffle that would work great for Rock Band:
1. Live Forever - Oasis
While I always disliked how quickly the intruments amped up in this otherwise classic tune, the fact that they do make it perfect for Rock Band. And really who doesn't want to sing, "Maybe, I dont really want to know, How Your Garden Grows"
2. The Bends - Radiohead
Ahh, the song I want most in RB. The beautiful vocals and wicked guitar more than make this song a great selection, but its the breakdown part with all the instrument beating rapidly before all the instruments explode and Thom wails, "I want to live! Breath! I want to be part of the human race!" Before the song eventually slows down and ends with Thoms haunting vocals.
3. Bulls On Parade - Rage Against the Machine
All they need to is take the one F word out early in this song and this song is absolutley brutally awesome on all the instrumnets, from De La Rocahs hard-to-keep up rapping, to Morellos infamous scratch solo. Fun drums and bass as well.
4. Around the World - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Second in the "songs-that-would-be-awesome-because-the-vocals-are-basically-rapping-and-it-would-be-fine-if-only-they-took-out-the-F-Word-in-the-beggining" catagorey is Around the World. Amazing bass intro by Flea and funky drums, guitar and bass all the way through. The relentless hip hop awesome coming out of Anthony's mouth dosent hurt either.
5. Cherub Rock - Smashing Pumpkins
I want this song from GH3 in this game. NEOW! Everything form the drum into to the great vocals and guitar riff are perfect for this game. An awesome jam session would fit at the end as well.
6. Anarchy in The UK - Sex Pistols
A song thats NOT from the 90s? NO WAI! But alas this classic from the punk lords would be pretty simple on all instruments, but would rock anyways. Now get pissed, and destroy!
7. Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne
I dont suck on Randy Rhoads like everyone else in the world does, but I sure know they are better songs for Guitar Hero by Ozzy. Thankfullym this is the one that works the best for Rock Band and has great v.... ok it has vocals all the way through, great solos that would be hella sick on the solo buttons, and great drums all the way through.
8. Magic Carpet Ride - Steppenwolf
An oldie but a goodie. Really odd and awesome singing all the way through really really really fun to sing. Great guitar effects and a funky bassline during the "close your eyes girl" part.
9. Alive - Pearl Jam
Oh sweet this one popped up. Not a big PJ fan, but I know good vocals, good drumming, a great bassline, and a wicked ass solo when I hear it. "IIII HHHEEAAARRRDDD, IMM STIILLL ALLIIIIVVVEEE"
10. Sweet Emotion - Aerosmith
Might be a little on the repetitive side, but if they took out the long ass extended intro, the song is really catchy and the bassline is well, you all know it. Plus the "SWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEET EMOOOOOOOOOOOOTION" part will be a killer at parties.
Well thats all for now. Ill try to do these every week or so.
Any thoughts?

Tarantula would be better than Cherub Rock, IMO.
Still, a good selection of songs overall.

I'm pretty much agree with you on everything in there. Bulls on Parade would be cool. So would the bends. I think both Rage and Radio Head are good choices for Rock Band.
Also I don't think you could have Rock Band without putting Pearl Jam, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and The Smashing Pumpkins in it. Cherub Rock would be ok, although it is in Guitar Hero, and I personally don't like the idea of sharing songs between the two games, the more that happens the less worth-it it is to buy both of them.
Alive is a good choice I think, but there are a bunch of other songs that they could use, most of the songs off of Ten would work out, I take back what I said a bit about sharing songs with Guitar Hero, because I want Even Flow for Rock Band, bad. Ten would make a great DLC album.
All Around the World would be fun, singing it would be cool too. Stadium Arcadium has a good selection of songs, I personally think Readymade would be crazy to play, and it would make a good DLC album as well.
All the rest, Anarchy in the UK, Sweet Emotion, Crazy Train, and Magic Carpet Ride, very solid choices, I'd say they would all be a lot of fun to play, and form those bands, those are just about the best choices. I think they could all work for Rock Band.
Can't wait to see what your next top 10 are.

I fully support your Oasis, Smashing Pumpkins, Ozzy Osbourne, and Pearl Jam selections. I would love to see those four songs in the main game. I would rather not play any Rage Against the Machine or Sex Pistols. The remaining four choices are all good songs I wouldn't mind playing.
I'm pleased to see such support for the rockin '90s!

Good list. I am not a big Oasis or RHCP fan, but I would love to play the rest of them.

I'd really dig Aerosmith's "Train Kept a Rollin'" instead of "Sweet Emotion."

Other than the Sex Pistols, it's a pretty cool list. Why not choose a better punk band? Like The Clash, Stiff Little Fingers, The Undertones, or even The Jam?
