PS3 rockband drum problem, plz help

i bought rockband for ps3 and my drums wont connect , the red light arond the ps button lights up but nothing works....but on my friends ps2 it works just fine can someone help me out??(i have the 80gig version with 4 usb port and tried all of them even bought a rockband usb hub and still nothing:(:()

Have you tried the mic and the guitar? Do they work?
