encode in itunes?

The game is recognizing the songs, however it is saying i must encode the songs in iTunes before playing it in Phase.

What exactly do i need to do?

Can you play any of the songs?

I got this error on two of the songs.. so I just deleted them and put them back on and re-synced my iPod.. Worked fine after that.

This same thing happened to me. I can play the soundtrack and the two dozen songs I got from the iTunes store, but I cannot play anything else, as far as I can tell. I have almost 3000 songs in my playlist, which could matter. I am on a brand-new iPod (fifth or sixth gen, I think) and syncing from iTunes in Windows XP. My iTunes version is 7.7.0.43.

Nevermind. I had ejected the iPod mid sync, and that threw it off. I resynced and it was fine.
