I only have 10 songs to choose from

I have a new PS2 and just bought rock band. However in solo or band mode there are only 10 songs for me to choose from. I am just doing quickplay, not a world tour. These are the songs:
Weezer
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Nirvana
Mountain (Mississippi Queen)
Bon Jovi
Ramones
Konks
Garbage
The Clash
Mother Hips

The only thing I can think of that could cause this is that I do not have a memory card yet. Can someone tell me where the rest of the songs are? Thanks

You need to play through a Solo Tour to unlock the rest of the songs.

Any level Medium or higher, on any instrument, will unlock everything.

Those songs you listed are the 1st tier songs from each instrument, which are of course already unlocked.
