No more announced songs?

It's been quite some time (I guess, over one month) that I haven't heard news about newly-announced songs.

Do you guys at HMX intend to keep the rest of the setlist a mystery from us anxious rock gamers up 'til the game comes out? Or are you gonna throw in some unknown bands for the main setlist, like Guitar Hero ('cept for Rocks the 80's) always does ('coz personally, I've never heard of The Exies, Burning Brides, Wolfmother, The Sword or Priestess before GH introduced them to me)?

We actually might hear about some new songs as early as the end of this week. Whenever people ask about new news, they always tell us to wait and when we are supposed to hear about new info, we will. I think they intend to tell us most everything about the game including a full songlist before the game comes out.

All the announced songs are shown on RockBand.com and it gets updated whenever new songs are announced. And you are right it has been over a month since we last had a song announced.

Yep, They'll tell us a ton about the game before the release to create hype for the game. So as people don't see it as just another Guitar Hero game, which it definitely is not.

I'd actually just like to add that Games Convention in Leipzig starts tomorrow, so we may even get news as early as then!

In fact, you'll be playing through the note charts and they'll bleep out pieces of the musical track to keep you in the dark.

im not getting my hopes up. if we're lucky we'll hear a couple more tracks, but they will probably save them for official announcement later. they dont want to blow their load of 40 songs too soon and let GH steal their thunder and copy the set list.

i have a feeling the next official announcement (re: songs) will just be the nevermind DLC that was leaked.

I don't think anything big will be revealed at PaX or Leipzig like pricing or a release date, just maybe a song or two. But one can only hope..

Maybe you should try to figure them out yourself. Might actually find something. :cool: Like if you were to look through some games that have cars and then perhaps look at what record labels they've signed deals with.

But Leipzig is the largest gaming convention in the world! There is bound to be some kind of news, hopefully especially because it has already been stated that Guitar Hero will have more song announcements there.
