If I wanted to have a single player band tour with drums and vox, how are you supposed to do the microphone taps in some songs while on the drums?

A) Don't do them

or

B) Say something on time with the hit

Those are the only ones I've come up with.

I do this all the time, what I do is puff in to the microphone. I used to tap i with my cheek but that was too disruptive to reading the screen.

By the way this is really HARD. I can do if for songs I know (prior to Rock Band), but you have to really know the song, obv.

I've done Expert Drums / Hard Vocals on about 10 songs (I can't do Expert Vocals very well alone so I don't try them with Drums). I can do Hard Drums / Medium Vocals on pretty much anything (except maybe TIMMAY! which is unsingable lol).

I find that making a hard "P" sound, like "puh" into the mike works the best. I suppose you could just blow, but in a song with a long section of doing this you might make yourself lightheaded.:D

the mic taps dont count against you if you dont hit them....

meaning if you want to play them then more power to you, if you dont want to worry about it then dont as there is no negative effect fo skipping them :) its almost like they were thinking about the fact some people might try to play the 2 by themeselves.

For me, it's never worth even bothering. Attempting to do that just ends up throwing up your drumming, which are the parts you should be excelling since you aren't singing. Therefore the best thing I can tell you is only play the drums and don't worry about it.

In fact, even in the singing tutorial it says that those notes do not negatively harm you because you can dual-instrument if you want.

depending on where the mic is, you're drum hit will register as a hit on the mic.

just say a quick pop... and no it doesnt score against you, but it does give you a higher score... i would do it but thats just me... it could mean the difference between 4 and 5 stars...

can always grab the controller and place the x button or whatever under your left toe and try that :P but tapping the mic with your drumstick or just blowing into it would probably be the best bet.
