Are you guys crazy, this is what I always thought xbox achievements should be about. Every other game has crappy little thing that just seem like they were added in last minute for the hell of it.

Having so many specific achievements to get ads more gameplay hours to those hardcore fans that wanna complete everything.

Also, 750,000+ on 1 song? thats insane, I wonder how much different the scoring will be compared to GH1 and 2.

This is fake. If you look there are 59 achievements. By Microsoft requirement a game is not allowed to have more than 50 achievements and be worth no more than 1000 points (with an exception for expansion packs that get added on later, i.e. Shivering Isles for Oblivion). Also the box art shown is a GHI Axel with the GHIII logo.

If each achievement weren't accompanied by a funky pick design (I want those in real life) I'd call foul. But I just don't know.

These Achievements are just so random and catered to the hardcore/desperate. Good thing is they're optional so you can still totally enjoy the game. Bad thing? I'm still gonna grab em'. They seem fun (well a good chunk seems like work) but just really random with no true order or ultimate goal (like GHII had you beat all careers).

I guess the achievements are something specific to XBL? I wouldn't mind if the ps3 version would just have them in game, i don't really care if it went online or anything. It's nice to have the option to shoot for something else other than just playing the game normally to get a high score. Used to play NHL games with similar achievements to accomplish. Just kinda fun.

I think this list is awesome! Most games are way to broad about which achievements to earn. These are gonna be tough and in my opinion, a blast to get through! Can't wait!

Pretty sure they're real, as I know for a fact the "Meet Your Maker" is a real one. They're having an event on November 3rd where about 15 or so employees will be on in the evening to help get this achievement out there.

I'm still on the edge on this purchase, which is strange for me to be saying figuring I've about breathed guitar hero since it came out in late October 2005. The thought of achievements were one area that were pushing me towards a purchase, but these kinda make me go "eh." (Yes, I'm a bit of an achievement whore, but not because I like rubbing it in people's faces. Rather, I'm a very goal oriented person and a bit of a completionist, and achievements sing to those personality traits.)

I guess it's because I don't feel like I can complete the expert tour in GH3. Granted, I've beat it in GH2 (4 stars on Freebird, can't complete Jordan), but on the demo I can't even get through The Metal and I do less than stellar on even Even Flow. As someone on the scorehero board said, it really feels like they took the music simulation experience out of the game and just turned in into a button mashing game. And the $60 price tag is a hard swallow with so much coming out in the next few weeks.

So, I will make a decision right now. With my trusty Magic 8 Ball (kept on my desk at work to make all important decisions).

Thats so annoying haha, thats going to be so hard to do! I really hate these achievements that GH III has, they are too odd.
