For those of you unfamiliar with the band:

I discovered these guys a few years back, and have been a huge fan since. My friends and I are constantly talking about how many of their songs would lend themselves wonderfully to Rock Band, and we figure that they're still a small enough band stateside that the licensing wouldn't be a huge issue.

I recomend listening to songs from Ghost Opera and The Black Halo to get a feel for the direction the band is going.

Guess I should mention some songs that would be fun to play in Rock Band:

Ghost Opera, from the Ghost Opera album.

Elizabeth parts 1+2+3 (for a fun marathon song), from the Karma album.

The Black Halo, from The Black Halo album.

I can think of a bunch more, but for my money at least those are the ones to play in RB.

I would love for some songs off of Karma or any album past Karma for that matter to be on Rock Band. You just have to make sure that whatever is put in the game is from the Kahn era of the band.

You have a point actually. There are two albums pre-Karma that feature Kahn, but in all honesty the band matures very noticeably after the Fourth Legacy and really beings to come into their own.

Karma itself is an absolutely amazing album, so is Epica, but I just don't feel the recording and mixing are at the same level of production value found on their recent albums.

I think a great idea for getting some of their older material into RB at a high production value would be to take some songs from One Cold Winter's Night, their second live album. I mean it's all live preformances, so it would mesh well with the RB gameplay, and they really one-up the actual studio recordings on many of their songs.

Plus III Ways to Epica, Elizabeth Trilogy, The Black Halo, Karma, Forever, Farewell, March of Mephisto, Up Through The Ashes, Mourning Star, Nights Of Arabia, & When the Lights Are Down.

And I guess Soul Society since it's the most overused song for Bleach AMVs on youtube.

Practically any of their songs that aren't piano driven ballads would be perfect and I could be happy with any single song of theirs that ended up on the game.
