So I'm not familiar with all the tracks that's been announced so far.. just wondering if we've got any drum solos in the bunch yet?
Course, I don't imagine drum solos are as easy to come across as guitar ones.. but it would be a shame if there was none in the game.

It would be sweet if they recorded a number of about 10 different types of drum solos, and made them appear at Random in the middle of any given song. It'd be sort of like a test for your drummer, kinda like "don't screw this one up or we all screw up!" I mean, it wouldn't happen ALL the time, but every now and then to test your ability.
OR it could happen if the person playing drums doesn't miss a single note until about 80 percent. Then it would be like a chance for extra notes to really pound some score ass.
OR...lastly...you could plan which of the 10 drum solos you wanted to play during any given Encore song, and could practice it any time you wanted from the "practice" menu. You'd have your simple little 1 minute-and-a-half drum solo, you'd have a sweet blues solo, a jazz type solo, a Neil freakin' Peart type solo, metal solo, maybe even reggae, etc.
Now, the REAL cream of the crop would be if you could somehow edit and create your own solo, but that's like asking Santa if you can make him your slave and give you ANYTHING you wanted, at any time.

They should have a "bathroom" button, and the other players hit that when they need to go. Then, just like in real life, they give the drummer an extended solo and do their business in the alley.

Tom Sawyer is very hard, that is as close as I think you get so far to a drum solo.

Yeah, because Tom Sawyer is a pretty easy Rush song.
If they went all out to get a crazy Peart solo, though, Rock Band drummers would be viciously screwed.
I'm hoping for a Kansas song because Phil Ehart is possibly the most under-rated Classic Rock drummer ever. Listen to Belexes if you don't believe me.

Why oh why doesn't Frankenstein have lyrics? That would be an awesome track with its drum solos.

rather than start a new thread, i think i will just post it in this one, because it was going to be about the drum review, rather than the overall review. here's the excerpt:
Even if the guitar parts in Rock Band turn out to be a little easier than what Guitar Hero veterans are used to, the drums should provide plenty of challenge to make up for it. Having successfully made my way through "Hard" at previous Rock Band demos, I fired up Expert for "Paranoid" and "Go With the Flow" and broke a sweat in about eight seconds. By the time we'd finished both songs, the drum kit had bounced several feet from its original position and I was in need of a towel and a sports drink. Unlike the guitar, playing Rock Band's drums on Expert will require some physical exertion (investing in a proper drum stool probably won't hurt, either).
As someone who plays "real" drums, one of the toughest things about making the transition to Rock Band's kit was the ability to translate the note charts on the screen to the drum pads, which at times seem almost more complicated than playing on a real drum kit; getting through Rush's "Tom Sawyer" on the higher difficulties proved to be a major challenge. Additionally, while the drum pads are very rigid and seem extremely durable, the overall kit is very light and will move around depending on what surface it's placed on; we imagine gamers will be inventing all sorts of original ways to anchor the drums down once the game is released.
