The rumor is that Axl Rose has completed the new Guns n Roses album Chinese Democracy. In light of this, I believe that Harmonix should aggressively pursue the rights to provide DLC from the album on the day it is released. This would not only be awesome (potentially exclusive) content for Rock Band, but would also be a great marketing tool for the new album, it's a win-win deal. Even better would be to precede the Chinese Democracy DLC with a classic GnR pack a week earlier.

Related to this, I'm surprised record labels aren't breaking down the doors at Harmonix and Activision begging for their songs to be included in RB/GH at no cost simply due to the effect it would have on record/mp3 sales.

I'm surprised that anyone still cares about what Axl rose is doing. He is a complete ass and has failed miserabley at any and every attempt to make a comeback aside from a few old die-hard fans that won't let him fade away peacefully. I actually feel sorry for him. He reminds me of an old boxer who has been knocked out in his last 8 fights but refuses to retire because he NEEDS the limelight. When he performed at the MTV awards several years ago(It was suppossed to be a HUGE surprise) the crowd was literally laughing at him. It was sad.

I too loved GnR when i was 14 years old but to think that he can do anything even slightly meaningful or memorable is just setting yourself up for disappointment. Sure, Your local classic rock channel that plays the occassional Nickelback or Disturbed song will grab a song from the album and spin it 17 times a day but that will not make it relevant.

You obviously haven't heard last year's leaked version of "Better".

edit: Also, if anything, Axl is known as a recluse, not an attention junkie.

Yeah, Chinese Democracy was "done" like 6 years ago... even longer since his career was relevant. I'm guessing Axl probably over analyzed the songs to the point that it sounds completely forced
