Rockband on Guitar Hero

Ive read in the forums that the guitar hero Xplorer will work with Rockband but the thing I want to know is if the Rockband's Fender will work with the guitar hero's games. This is important to me because I love the Rockband's guitar design but I want to purchase the previous guitar hero games (GH1 & Rot80's) but I dont want to have three guitars on my home. I already have GH2 on Xbox 360 and want to have a guitar for PS3 so I can play previous GH games as well as Rockband.

Yes it has, and the most universal answer is that it hasn't been announced and it is basically up to Activision/Red Octane/Neversoft whether or not they want to use Rock Band guitars for their game.

first off, i believe this particular question has only been asked like twice, and there is still no definitive answer. (i think this is overlooked by many partly because of the large number of 360 owners on this forum, and this is a ps3 issue)

what has been asked 10billion times is "will the GH guitar work in rock band?", which we all know is yes.

please someone link me or quote me in the n00b guide where it covers if the strat will work in past guitar hero games, which the OP asked, because I dont believe it does.

it's been implied that the rock band guitar will not work with GH3 because the developers would need to share code, which is unlikely at the moment.

there is still a question mark on the old ps2 GH games that harmonix should be familiar with (duh), but from one article ive read it mentioned that they could still not get the strat to work with the PS2 games, so it's no improvement over the issues people have using the ps2 adapters, which is a disappointment for me because I never owned a PS2 and I could have borrowed the games from friends if I could play them on my ps3.

i know what you mean I only have a PS3 now myself and not being able to play my GH games the way they should be played ie with a guitar controller is a pain, it's been 4 months now.. but it's looking like the strat wont be working for the GH games either unless HMX can work some magic.. ah well i guess it's time to look forward with Rock band and forget about the previous GH games.. shame because there are some great tracks on them that i like to play.. maybe one day HMX can offer them as DLC.
