For the past month, Swayze has been traveling to Stanford University’s prestigious cancer center in Palo Alto for radical chemotherapy, but his doctors are no longer optimistic that the treatments will be successful, according to the National Enquirer

I heard on the news that he is not going to die in 5 weeks. He is responding well to his treatments. Swayze's currently filming two movies. My prayers are with you and your family.

Patrick Swayze has confirmed that he has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. A doctor for the Dirty Dancing actor says reports that Swayze only has five more weeks to live are false.

“Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the time frame of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic,” said Dr. Patrick George.



A rep for Swayze also confirms the reports and says the “support and concern” is greatly appreciated. “Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family,” said his rep.
