Well there are 2 Hysteria's one by Muse and one by Def Leppard. Which one do you people want.

I hope for the Muse Hysteria it would be sooo cool to sing and play guitar with.

My votes for Def Leppard, but not because of the song itself - hysteria by def leppard means that they "acquired" def leppard, bringing as far as I feel a legendary band into a music game. Rock of ages, photograph, pour some sugar on me, bringing on the heartbreak, foolin, etc...

If it meant nothing at all, then I would vote for Muse. As a specific song, it is catchier than Def Leppards.

Muse.

That bassline would be so much fun (the guitar would, too, but bass gets boring a lot of the time so it's worth noting that the song has a cool bassline), and depending on how much the vocals are simplified, it could also be a blast to sing.
Well, it would be fun to sing either way, but more complex vocals = more challenge = more fun.
And, hell, drums would probably be really fun, too.
It'd be a challenging song pretty much all across the board.

Basically, it's one of the songs I want most for the game, not just the Hysteria I'd prefer.
(Plus it may mean more Muse in the future, which would be awesome.)

deffinitely muse, cause that means they're actually trying to get awesome songs now, how surprising is it to choose hysteria rather than one of the singles? that's really cool

Hysteria IS one of their singles. At least in the US, the singles from Absolution were Time Is Running Out, Hysteria, and Stockholm Syndrome. It looks like the UK also had those 3, plus 3 more singles. Anyway, I am definitely shooting for Muse. Hysteria is a great song, though not their best, it may also open the gate for more Muse (I wouldn't mind KoC, again not their best, but the drums would be amazing).

i would love Stockholm Syndrome!

Def Leppard, even though it probably won't be because Hysteria isn't all that fast. I would love some Lepp though. They were my first concert when I was in the second grade so I'd download them in a heartbeat.

Compared to Def Leppard, Muse are nobodies. Def Leppard would be 1000x more awesome.

That said, I'm 99% sure it will actually be Muse that gets released.

I like both and would've voted both if it were an option. I went wth Def Leppard simply because it resonates with me more than Muse and I would love to sing it.

I agree, I'd be thrilled to have either, because I love both songs and want tracks by both bands in the game.
That being said, I voted Muse just because as far as their songs go, Hysteria is a fantastic choice for RB. Along with Time is Running Out, Stockholm Syndrome, Starlight, Supermassive Black Hole, Map of the Problematique, Assassins, Exo-Politics, and Knights of Cydonia - I'd love to rock out to any of those.
For Def Leppard tho, Hysteria is a pretty weak choice, as one of their slower and, if memory serves, less popular songs. Even off the same album, Women, Rocket, Animal, Armageddon It, or Pour Some Sugar on Me would be better choices. Not to mention the older Rock of Ages, Foolin', or Photograph.
My money's on Muse. And I'm thrilled with that selection.

I'm all for the Muse version. Nothing against the Def Lep song, cause I actually do like it. Thing is Muse is like my favorite band, and being the bass player for the band in my BWT, that would just be an awesome track to play.

Muse isn't that good!! If you want good music you got to go with the legends def leppard. Muse is a one hit wonder they wont be around long and there is a reason for that. no one for one knows who they are. for two i would rather listen to barry manilow than muse and thats irritating. but some kids these days don't know jack about music have about as much character as a fart, boring, dull and always smells like Britney Spears.

wow...

muse is a 1 hit wonder? no one knows who they are?

u know what, just listen to barry manilow. responding to this post is pointless.

muse is just a rip off band anyway! The lead singer thinks hes the legendary Chris Cornell. Just Like Creed when they tried sounding like the Rock Gods Pearl Jam. where is creed now? oh yeah they busted. I know you youngsters here will try to bag on Pearl Jam saying they're soft or whatever. but remember at least pearl jam never sold out like most of the bands you listen to. pearl jam's lyrics actually mean something unlike most bands now a days. and they got ticket master to lower its ticket prices.

BOTTOM LINE MUSE SUCKS JACK!!!
A. Muse isn't even a one-hit wonder, they haven't really hit yet.
B. Since when is popularity any kind of indication of how GOOD a band is?
C. Get your facts straight. The vocalist is ripping off Radiohead. Not Chris Cornell.
BOTTOM LINE MUSE ROCKS!!!

What does sucks jack even mean?

What a delightfully antagonistic post! What's your inspiration?

It will definitely be Muse. Great song though it is, Def Leppard is too slow for RB.

I don't understand why everyone keeps saying some songs are "too slow" for RB. What is that supposed to mean? Not all songs are fast-paced, and not all should be. I think slow songs would be fun to play. Esp. in BWT b/c in a mystery setlist when you might have a fast-paced song, then put a "slower" song in after it to get some rest and jam some tunes out, then either one. It think they would be more fun.

i vote Muse but i would rather see a better muse song in there. I really never liked Hysteria but it would be fun to play. I still think Knights of Cydonia would be one of the best songs for Rock band. But muse in RB is inevitable no matter what

I really HOPE it's Def Leppard, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be Muse.

On a side note - I find it interesting for ALL the posts I've read stating that Muse is the "best band in the history of the world", they're only leading 54-46 over an 80's "hair band". :)

The bass need some more songs that are harder. I play real bass and really enjoy playing it on Rock B:cool:and b/c I clue in on the basslines anyway. I feel like a hack b/c most of the songs aren't that hard on bass. i think Muse's 'Hysteria' would be a great hard song for bass on Rock Band.
