I'm stoked. Gimme Shelter and Highway Star were 2 of my most wanted songs.

They are okay. Radiohead's Creep should have been Paranoid Android. And I'm still missing Bloc Party, Placebo and The Cure.

Just gave each song a listen...here are some notes/thoughts...

Highway Star: The guitar solo in this song is going to be HARD...like, seriously. Drums aren't going to be a walk in the park either. Should be a fun song to jam to though...

Gimme Shelter: This'll be a GREAT jam song, although I'm curious what they'll do in the middle section where it's just the female part singing, if that'll be considered main vocal track or maybe just a back-up part that would be optional...

Should I Stay or Should I Go: Honestly, I don't know how much fun this song will be. Good song, sure, just doesn't feel like it'll be that enjoyable to play together...

Are You Gonna Be My Girl: This is almost the exact opposite...not a great song, in my opinion, but I think it'll be very fun to play...vocals should be a blast.

Cherub Rock: All-around good song, shouldn't be too difficult for most parts but will be fun to play.

Sabatoge: I think a lot of people are gonna want to 'sing' this one...could end up like Wanted Dead or Alive with everyone screaming along. Good times.

Epic: I dunno...I love this song, but I just am not sold yet on how fun it'll be to play. Singing it is gonna be tough, and not in a good way.

The Hand that Feeds: This sound fun to play, will be tough on the drummer I think.

Here It Goes Again: I was surprised at how fun this actually sounded, I think this will end up a popular choice to play.

Creep: Yes, not the best radiohead song, but still I think it's gonna be a good time. I know I'm excited to cross my legs hard and try to reach those high, high notes....whew. Sweating just thinking about it...

Overall: I'm interested in the direction they're kinda taking with these choices. Several of them have a lot more going on than the standard four-part band, which is a bit different than what they'd been announcing so far. Overall they're good choices from a popularity stand-point, from playability...we'll see. I don't doubt that they'll all be enjoyable in their own ways, and I'm really excited about some of the DLC options these songs might lead to.

I guess i'll say it now, but you guys are gonna come to learn that Highway Star and Won't Get Fooled Again will be the ultimate fun songs to play with 4 people. Sabotage will be awesome also, especially on the "listen all of y'all it's sabotage" build up.

As I said in another thread I'm willing to bet it's a typo on IGN's part. I can't see them changing it, and I'd be willing to put money on it. Sorry to kill anybody's excitement, but I just don't see it happening.

EDIT: It seems I am mistaken and stand corrected on this issue. I'm kind of disappointed by this move because "Rockaway Beach" was a good choice by Harmonix from a gameplay and musical standpoint ("Rockaway Beach" is a lesser known song and would help open up people to what The Ramones were all about rather than just playing a greatest hit).

I'd prefer "Rockaway Beach" stay in, but I have no say.

1. It's funny, someone recently complimented me on it a few minutes ago on a different forum.

2. I guess I can tolerate it if it's popular, but it just seems that there are more deserving bands that could go in.

I'm excited, with the newly announced songs it makes a great mix! There are many that I like, and many that will grow on me. :-)

However, I hope there won't be too many songs the same on both GH3 and RB. We'll definitely be getting both games, and I'd like to have a variety as big as possible.

I'm actually pretty surprised they could just go and change the song to Blitzkreig Bop, but hey I actually like it better than Rockaway Beach and it will probably be more fun to play too. I hope they don't go changing too many songs though.

Colour me unimpressed. The more songs that are annouced or this game, the less excited I get. I'm not even sure if I'm gonna get it anymore. It pretty much depends on the DLC pricing at this point, unless they pull something out of the bag with the remaining 14 tracks.

Head Like a Hole would be the BEST!!!!!!! I was surprised that there was a NIN song in the game. I guess they chose a newer song. Personally, I would like to play Terrible Lie! Hopefully DLC will be as great as it seems on paper.
