Being left handed (non drummer) i like to use my left hand alot. I find that this gives me problems when doing rolls. Especially the ones that switch like in run to the hills.
I find that if i concentrate on starting the rolls with my right hand, i do much better. that one off note like the yellow from the red i end up hitting with my right hand every time. But if i start with my left then my right hand is hitting the last red before the yellow and throws it all off. ... kinda hard to explain that.
My question for a real drummer is are you taught to start rolls (especially the ones that sweep from left to right) with your right hand. or is it just because you're right handed? I was wondering if thats a habit i have to break.
Just for background on my playing. i play expert and have beaten all songs not named Fear the Reaper, Run to the hills (almost) and Wont get fooled again. My dlc blackened i havent beat.

It doesn't bother me none. Maybe it's just the learning curve.

Also being left-handed I starting in on drums as soon as I got the game, and found it very difficult. I didn't think handedness mattered (not knowing anything about drumming). I talked to a buddy I work with who plays drums professionally and he said I should switch it. I didn't realize you could do the lefty-flip, but once I did, I played so much better.
Left foot on the pedal, green is the primary drum. Works for me, but then again, I've never been able to do anything right-handed.

Yeah i didnt realize you could do lefty flip at first. Then when i finally did realize it i thought it wouldnt make any difference. So i never turned it on. Now i think i might have to switch and try to get used to it with lefty flip on.
