Yea that's absolutely nuts. 7 RBI's each for 2 different players in one game? Yikes!
I bet Texas is really happy they got Salty now heh.

Glad those fans could finally see an historic game though. It was in Baltimore yes?

I'm a Sox fan myself, from just outside Boston. I was at a game back in April against the Yankees at Fenway and we hit 4 homeruns back to back to back to back all off the same pitcher!

Now that's history :) It was determined that it was a 1 in 1.2 million chance of it happening or something.

But kudos to Texas, if only they can win their division someday though :\

That truly is unbelievable. Its crazy they scored 10 times as many runs as the Orioles! You would think after like 10 or so runs they would slow down, especially when they start getting up by so much, I didn't see the game, but the Orioles must have been handing them runs left and right.

That's incredible..

Even though I'm a Tigers fan, I gotta say, that's amazing.

i was watching the box scores yesterday and i thought that was crazy, and then i thought to myself how crappy the orioles must have felt since it was only game one of a double header and they still had to play a 2nd game! haha.

I never venture into this general forum. it was in the rockband forum. it just got moved by a moderator before I hit the submit reply button.

No, it was in the General forum.. It's been here since yesterday, which is when I first saw it.

weird maybe i was victim to some type of glitch? i never had any interest in entering the off-topic forum here. like i said i saw it on the rockband forum page towards the top, under the stickied posts and so i clicked it wondering what the baseball game had to do with rockband lol.

but i did notice that after i posted, it took me in the general forum. so i was like wow they moved the post just as i replied...but what's weird is that usually the thread title stays in the forum and says "moved" and links to the respective forum. but when i clicked back into the rockband forum there is no trace of it there.

I posted this here yesterday in the General Forum, not the Rock Band forum. Hope to clear the confusion.

Talk about a slump buster... Makes me sad that this is the best thing about Texas baseball at this point... Oh well, football is coming soon and I have season tickets for my UT longhorns:D

What's most interesting is that at the beginning of the 9th, it was only 8-3. 22 runs scored in the 9th.

The game was game 1 of a doubleheader. Heh... imagine what a relief it was to Baltimore to start over w/ a clean slate.

After the game, ESPN was runnings stats like X # of players with X+ RBIs, runs, etc. Only two players on TX didn't have any RBIs or runs. How much would it suck to be those two?

What? Look at this:

http://texas.rangers.mlb.com/news/wrap.jsp?ymd=20070822&content_id=2163718&vkey=wrapup2005&fext=.jsp&team=away&c_id=tex

Scroll to the middle where the box score is shown.

5 in the 4th
9 in the 6th
10 in the 8th
24-3 going into the 9th inning.
6 in the 9th

22 runs in 1 inning would definitely be a record that's never been set. You'd have heard about that definitely.

I doubt Baltimore was relieved in between the games, they probably felt like sh*t, and didn't even want to play for the rest of the day.

Everyone recorded at least 1 run, but there were 2 guys without RBI's. I highly doubt it sucked to be anyone on that team that day.

My bad, I was watching it at the bar.... what else is prone to happen at a bar. That should explain my error...

These two should still be correct.

After watching that game my high school baseball coach called up the Oriels Organization and challenged them to a game.
