Playing styles in Rock Band?

I think it would be awesome if they had different playing styles that you could give your created character. For example, if you play the bass you could play like Les Claypool (Primus, Oysterhead, Sausage). I dont know if rock band already includes this but i think it would be an awesome feature to consider in the future if they didnt. Alos, if you dont know who les claypool is, LOOK HIM UP.

I see what you mean. As in how you hold your guitar and your stance. That would be good to see and is something Harmonix have obviously already taken into consideration. Just look at how Johnny Napalm holds his guitar compared to someone like Lars Ümlaüt in GH2.

Your stance, star power, attitude, etc. are all determined by the style you assign to your character (metal, punk, classic, blah, blah, blah).

As for actually playing differently according to those styles, there may be something for freeform they haven't announced yet. Stick around.

Thought I'd join in on this swell conversation to say that I would love to see the bassists do that stomp thing that Les does when you pick the right attitude.

For drummers, they could make them play either traditional grip or matched grip, heel up or heel down, left hand or right hand.

I would really like to see a John Myung ( Dream Theater ) styled bassist, btw.
