Album Downloads

Hi there,

I've been reading this forum for a long time, but have only just started posting. Nice to see the content is less hate filled and childish than the GH forum.

Anyway, my question relates to downloadable content. (I used the search function, so apologies if this has already been asked.)

So far the confirmed/rumoured downloads are all from bands that come with the game. Therefore, is it likely we'll be getting DLC from those already in the game first? (e.g. Slippery when wet, The black album, etc).

Well if nevermind truly is a downloadable album then it would appear so.. I'm sure they would raise the question of DLC to original track artists before asking other artists, during negotiation.

Thanks for that. I made that logical step as well. I just wanted to know if there was something a little more concrete and whether it had been pointed out before.

Well it has been pointed out before, but the problem is Nevermind is a little more than a rumor as of now. And believe me I will be terribly upset if it isn't released as DLC. And other than that we just have Won't Get Fooled Again, so we don't have much announced content to go on but it would seem like the obvious choice would be albums from the songs that are already in the game as you pointed out.

i think this is a horrible assumption. mainly because there is what, ONE confirmed DLC album? Nevermind is likely true, but even with that, all we have is TWO albums. I dont think that sample size is any where close enough to make any judgement calls on what to expect for DLC.

That said, I'm still crossing my fingers for the blue album since say it aint so is one of the early announced tracks :p

source? all ive seen is that we can expect more metallica songs down the line, but it was presented as if individual songs would be released. not an album or "pack"

Has anyone here compiled a list of record labels associated with announced tracks yet? Perhaps if the list can be narrowed down in that manner, we may be able to better judge the likelihood of any given music request for DLC?

Seems to me that once a label has said yes to one band they control, that they would be more apt to allow for more royalties to pour in the door.
