GHIII Demo Announced; Bundled With Tony Hawk

Before the *****fest begins YES it is still coming to Marketplace (no PSN obviously) but it will be available two weeks earlier via Tony Hawks Proving (if it sells do it again) Ground

The demo is set in a desert venue. Good to see The Metal can hold me over 'til Rock Band.

Is anyone else starting to think Neversoft shot their whole wad with the announced songs? Like it seems to me the songlist keeps on getting crappier and crappier.

Like first AFI, Then the Killers, then all those **** bonus bands, and now Pat Benetar?

Maybe I just have a higher tolerance for 80s pop, but I like Pat Benatar, and give the guitar a chance, man. Hit Me With Your Best Shot has good guitar, better than Miss Murder and When You Were Young, at least.

I don't have a 360, so it's kind of out of the question for me. I'm hoping to get one before Rock Band comes out, but buying one for the GHIII Demo would just be stupid.

But my brother has a 360... without Guitar Hero, so that still wouldn't work.

So basically neversoft is using GH to get people to buy Tony Hawk, most people that buy this game are going to do so just to get the GH demo early. Is there an exact date set for this demo? Also is there any word on PS2 version being released at some point? Or is it just going to be 360? I wouldn't mind getting to play the Metal and Even Flow a bit early. Man why waste your time, wait two weeks and download it for free!


EDIT: Nevermind I figured it out: Two weeks after the October 9 release of Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, the demo will appear as free download on Xbox Live Marketplace.

Yes, but not everyone is buying the game as soon as it comes out.

Some are saving their money for games they are more excited for (Rock Band), like me, and then getting the game later on. I'll be downloading the demo as soon as it hits.

I already plan on renting Proving Ground from Gamefly. Hopefully the demo will be on the game disc - not a seperate disc. Otherwise, I'll wait for the marketplace. I bought Project 8, but I won't buy this one. Maybe Skate, but not another TH.

I actually think that might be the case for me. Im starting to get less and less excited for GH3, especially since they announced my two favorite GH3 songs are now in Rock Band (Sabotage, Cherub Rock). So Im not as compelled to buy both.

If Guitar Hero III comes out a month before though... Ill prbably get it first day.

pretty sure its on the game disc i rented crackdown and the halo 3 beta was on it, so i'm pretty sure ghIII demo is on the disc bro
