I love alot of the older stuff on this game, but come on this game could use some serious classic stuff:
Tom Petty - American Girl - Last Dance with Mary Jane (anything really)
Led Zepplin - anything
Eric Clapton - Layla and Cocaine (although i doubt that could make it due to the name of it)
Eagles - Hotel California -anything
Jimi Hendrix - anything
Also how bout a kick a$$ 80's release
Journey - Don't top Believing
Skid Row - 18 and Life
Poison - Fallen Angel - Nothin But a Good time
Cinderella - Don't Know What U Got
Scorpions - Winds of Change
Motley Cure - Kickstart my Heart (again lyrics may pose a problem) - Smokin in the Boys Room
AC/DC - nuff said
Billy Idol - White Wedding - Rebel Yell
Bryan Adams - Summer of 69
Great White - Once Bitten Twice Shy
Warrant - Cherry Pie
Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar
Europe - Final Countdown
GNR -Sweet Child of Mine - Paradise City
Van Halen - Jump - Panama
Whitesnake - Here I go Again
Night Ranger - Sister Christian

How does this response figure into the classics??? Killswitch engage??? Cmon dude.. get real.. you'll be lucky to see one of the songs from your list make it. How can you even fathom mentioning that band with the likes of Zepplin, Eagles, Hendrix and Clapton.. ???

What, no love for my list. These songs have got to find their way onto some DLC...

Hmm Casey Jones was released and the lyrics go ridin the train high on cocaine, so ya never know. But I would like to see Tom Petty - Don't Do Me Like That.
I would really like to see some of The Door's stuff released, but I'm sure it won't happen due to copyright etc...

Oh I hear ya bro! These were all GREAT suggestions. In fact many that I made on the forums for "that other game". Some, of course, came to pass. I'm a classics-then-80-hair-band guy as well, and you make some great suggestions in there.
- April Wine (Roller/Ooowhatanight/etc) also be cool and some other Canadians (Loverboy, Helix, ...?)
- Of all the KISS songs so far, I suprised that Deuce hasn't made it yet. Maybe a bit more band friendly then some released... Cold Gin would be ok as well.
- Certainly something from Def Leppard... heck, they could easilly do a pack. Hysteria, Rock Of Ages, Photograph, Bringin on the Heartbreak, even Rocket :-).... etc etc
- A tune or two from Bryan Adams would work, yes
- Cinderella hasn't been tapped yet to my knowledge... Gypsy Road, Night Songs, Shake Me, Nobody's Fool, etc
- Airbourne (not "classic" as they are new, but MAN, are they pretty good... and certainly sound from the era - AC/DC-ish)
(of course, these won't do me much good yet on the PS2, but others should ROCK! So...)
Rock on!

... and while on a suggestion roll... seeing your suggestions remind me that a "ballad set" or pack (or in PS2 case, expansion ;-)) would be quite neat. I know when everyone gets together, Wanted Dead or Alive gets ALOT of playtime. Always seems to 'encore' most nights. Ballads end up having a good party, everyone play and feel good type atmosphere to them. 80's ballads which there were many including those you mentioned...
LA Guns - Ballad of Jayne
Slaughter - Fly to the Angels
Black Crowes - She Talks To Angels
Aerosmith - Angel
and MANY MANY (choose any 80's 'metal' album really... bound to be one on it!)
Also, on the faster side:
GnR - Paradise City (a good ol' sing along :-))
Whitesnake - Still Of The Night
Dokken - In My Dreams, Unchain The Night, It's Not Love
Ratt - Lay It Down, You're In Love, Round And Round, ...
Britny Fox - Long Way To Love, Girls School
Even something from the Cars (Lets Go <?>, Drive?)
Cult - Love Removal Machine etc
Soul Asylum (90's?) - Black Gold
Motley Crue: Too Fast For Love, KickStart, Dr. Feelgood, Wildside, Girls, etc.
Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion
Even Prince: When Doves Cry or Let's Go Crazy
... and long overdo! (90's mind you) - Collective Soul! A bunch to choose from from their collection....
Shouldn't have got me started!!!
