Don't you have some aliens to kill in Halo or something?

Not in the video game industry.

Besides, if this truly negatively impacts you, then you Sir lose at life.

Tell me, what would you have done had they announced it at noon? Ummmm nothing because you wouldn't be able to do anything.

It has been a long wait, but trust in HMX, they have something big planned, I just know it. Just do what I have been doing, play Super Smash Bros. Brawl until the announcement is made.:D

As far as the people getting fired and what-not, um, let's not blame Harmonix here. It's probably not their fault. It seems like this is a PR/Media issue.

And, just for the record... the deadline has yet to be missed.

The DLC doesn't come out until TOMORROW.

Technically they'd only fail to meet their deadline if no DLC was released tomorrow.

the delayed announcement really hinders my ability to purchase the DLC that comes out tomorrow in a timely fashion, wtf hmx :(

Seriously, now I see why most of the old school posters left...these forums went to **** once people actually bought the game.

I'm sorry you have to deal with the obnoxious Guitar Hero fanboys and kids who are filling these forums up with nonsense on a daily basis.

Besides, I have Lego Star Wars II to play in the meantime!!! :)

As someone else said, don't people get fired when they don't meet DEADLINES?

You want to know about deadlines?
March 6 was a (rumoured) deadline.

And that's all we went on. We're in the dark now.
Don't talk like you have nothing to play.

They MIGHT miss one DLC. So what? You HAVE DLC. You have the GAME.

Byrddoggg
03-10-2008, 05:53 PM
Deadlines??

Correct me if I'm wrong but them telling us a day or more in advance is something they are doing out of the kindness of their hearts.

The consumer (us) do NOT set deadlines for the developers. How about some of you stop sounding so darn ungrateful or they'll stop telling us in advance all together.

HMXSean and HMXHenry have kindly posted, even as of today, about the delay and they have even apologized for it. Most of us on this end have no idea of what they have to go through to get this content out and authenticated for the Marketplace.

I really wish some of you people would take a step back and realize how much awesome support we are getting for this game and the fact that we have gotten new DLC every single week since release.

Cut them some slack. They are doing a great job and the best they can. Too bad they have spoiled some of you people with the early announcements.

After the Dead last week, if there's not some metal this week, I'm gonna SH*T. The extended wait as to whether or not I SH*T this week is more than I can bear. If I'm gonna SH*T, I'd like to plan around it if possible.

I think it's funny that due to 'complications' they can't type a few letters to spell out the words of the next few songs. But of course, that's not it, the complications are prolly with the song itself so now they had to throw something else together I bet. It's ok.... As long as I get fuel, fire, and considering that's what I desire, I'll be happy.

Considering some companies never announce ANYTHING or have any type of schedule like this, HMX should be given a bit of slack. Name any other company out there that releases content WEEKLY for us and then bothers to tell us about it? GH releases when they feel like and tells us the day before what the pack is it seems like. So they had a bit of an issue they had to iron out this week and an ANNOUNCEMENT got delayed, not the DLC or anything else. Get a grip. :P The announcement isn't going to make the actual content arrive any faster.

tombrady
03-10-2008, 05:59 PM
I've said it before, but I'll say it one more time.

If I worked for HMX right now, it would take every ounce of restraint in my body to not just ban some of these people left and right...these people who make some of these posts are some of the most ungrateful and unintelligent sons of *****es I've ever seen, and I read YouTube comments daily, so that's saying something.

Because far too many gamers take every casual comment made by a member of a dev team to be a promise and if they could not deliver the dlc tomorrow for some reason there would probably be far more people who are totally tee'd off than there are now.

And yes, video game developers do not have 9-5 jobs. One of my best friends works for a video game company and I sometimes go months without seeing him because they are in a crunch.

I don't believe it's a problem at all that there is a delay.

The reason I'm spending a lot of time on this forum is because I am truly excited to discover what awesomeness is in store for my gaming pleasure come tomorrow after work. If for whatever reason no DLC was available tomorrow - I would be disappointed, and I would just wait for next tuesday's batch.

If it isn't awesome, I'll be sad, but never say a negative word about the DLC to anyone (other than maybe "I don't like this song"). I have a serious problem with the lack of respect people have for the Harmonix developers, who work hard week in and week out to get us downloadable content.

Well, it's not just for us.

DLC announcements tend to make gaming news websites. I almost always see a link to the week's announcement over at Blues News, and the comments Harmonix made about the ps3 patch a couple months ago ended up on several websites, even though they originated from these forums.

Not the same thing... we are reading the forums as a form of entertainment and/or passing the time...

It is ridiculous that people are getting so mad about an ANNOUNCEMENT not being made yet. DLC isn't released until Tuesday... so until 11:59 pm HMX time on Tuesday evening, nothing is late...

Give them a break... they've done a fantastic job of developing their game in these few short months that it's been out...

After all... what other VIDEO GAME that has been out only a matter of months has this kind of attention? Developers pumping out new content EVERY WEEK? Even Halo only gets new maps once or twice a year...
