The Paramore song won't be bad (and I don't even care for them). But you gotta admit, they're only a buck, which makes them very attractive.

I wonder if they discounted them because the entire community was ready to storm their studio and burn it down?

EDIT: Now that I look at my iTunes library, the Black Tide song was featured as one of the free songs on there a while back. Looks like I'll be picking up all 3 this week! :D

Never heard the Black Tide song...but at $1 a piece they'll be real fun to play...

I am guessing something fell through and we got stuck with these songs last minute at the apologetic price of $0.99/ 80 MS points.

It's discounted because they don't think many people will buy it. Because it's garbage.

I disagree. I think its safer to say they had to deal with a little thing called the FCC to release the last song on that list, which in turn caused a delay.

These songs seem like some backup for an album they couldn't release, but that's my thoughts, not yours.

Those should be pretty fun to play.

And its not Grateful Dead, so thats a plus.

LOL ok sure. What kind of music do you like? I admit that these are by no means my favorite bands. But you're getting a metal-ish band (Serj), a hard rock band (Black Tide), and a poppy-rock band (Paramore). If you were expecting the Thrash pack, then maybe it's next week.

As has been said a million times here, vote with your wallet and don't buy it

Grateful Dead is 50000x better than Paramore. I read an interview from my Rolling Stone magazine with the Paramore lead singer and she has the weirdest interests/beliefs. She also sounds like she's about to kill herself.

Do we REALLY need about 10 threads about this week's DLC?

Funny. Not ONE of them are positive either. Bunch of whiners on the boards is what we got here.

Or it's discounted because these are a promotion-- songs the record labels want to push. I wonder if this is the first wave we have of people hustling to get involved with Rock Band after it turned out to be successful? It's just about the right amount of time since launch...

Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Pink Floyd, Molly Hatchet, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Rush, Foo Fighters, Nirvana (lolz), The Who, the list goes on.

I am not really familiar with these tunes, but the Serj tune sounds fun. On second note, did they respond concerning the new updates? Will be updated for next week this Friday, or are we back to Mondays? Just curious, sorry if answered, and I don't mean to be greedy!

This makes sense. I'm guessing they are having trouble with pricing the album (probably Nevermind) and as a result we get that Paramore song (which is probably my least favorite song on the radio right now. And thats saying something.)

The Serj song I'll get, the rest - no.

They didn't build up the hype... We did. At no point did they say, We have a HUGE DLC WEEK COMING. Wait for the announcement..

Because we wanted an album release. I kinda doubt they'd delay so much for 3 songs, seems they wanted to release something huge. I want Who's Next. :(

I guess they felt that they pleased enough people last week with the Grateful Dead pack that felt they could unleash this sack of nonsense on us.

Oh well, I guess it's better than not having the choice to download them. Not much better, but better.

Sounds like you have *relatively* eclectic tastes, so why not give these songs a try? If nothing else, at least look up Black Tide and Serj Tankian, I bet you would like those two...

i gotta say that this pack in my opinion sucks compared to the dead from a week ago. What a LET DOWN. Even though they are a buck a piece i'm not gonna buy a single one of them. I would have been happy with simple man and message in a bottle(actually i really want simple man). But HMX probably sat back and laughed their asses off, as we argued over BS, and decided to pull out the bad songs for kicks, just throwin in my two cents.

grateful dead pack left me feeling raped and robbed. casey jones the only song i liked. the rest i was laughed at for purchasing. indeed most of the dlc has sucked majorly. I wish i could get a refund on 2/3s of it. Damn alchohol and the easy credit card acess of xbox

I just listened to the song on youtube, and

1. What the hell?
2. Does the word 'c*nt' actually appear anywhere in the song?

I'm not a fan of Paramore but the songs should be fun to play.

And what the hell do her beliefs have to do with the music???

s/FCC/ESRB/g

Maybe that's it. It's plausible.
