I don't really think any of those bands/artists were obscure in the general sense, but how about some genuine "obscure" suggestions? Try to go with bands you think that a majority of the forum goers haven't heard before. Won't hurt if we turn others on to bands we like either :)
I'll start us off. Band is The Southland and the song is Debris. Starts off a bit slow but has a great solo and is a good song all around for every instrument. (Note, your computer is not choppy. That's actually the way the video is.)

Another good song (can't find a video for) is Shadow.

I'm not too good with HTML so I can't post a video, but there is a band from Finland called Lordi, and they are pretty cool. Some songs by them I would like to see on Rock Band would be Hard Rock Hallelujah and Night of the Loving Dead.

If you want to put a video in your post from youtube, there's a little "embed' text box on the right side underneath the info for the video. Just copy and paste it in your post :)
