Looks like a long wire. That's good!

In every video I've seen, the wire for the guitar has come out of the (equivilant to a) 1/4" jack of the guitar...
...alas, I see no wire coming out of that jack.
Could the wire be completely detachable from the guitar? Or am I just stupid?
(((Please answer the first question, not the second -- much abliged)))

That guitar looks to me like it has a wire coming out of it.

The wire is there, but it is indeed not plugged into the guitar.
Chaopolis is right, when it is plugged in, it goes right to the jack. As you can see, there is no cord in the jack, therefore, I think you can plug it in, and unplug, which is convenient for storage.
Plus, the cord looks to be more of similar material as a real guitar cord. The SG cord was very annoying plastic. Hopefully it's actually rubber now.

Kinda hard to tell for sure, but it definately isn't coming out of where the wire would normally come out of a real guitar, which every other pic of a wired guitar we've seen has it coming out of that same jack. so either the wire is detachable from the guitar (cool!), they've moved the connection point (boo), or it's a wireless guitar and that wire belongs to something else (sweet).

That would be cool to be able to take out the cord! This is awesome.

yeah, I agree. The cord looks like it is detachable. It is most likely a long USB to USB MINI-B cable that has been thickened up to look like a 1/4" guitar cable.
