Do you think Rock Band (only on the PS2, obviously) will be hackable, being able to put your own songs on the game?

I've been wondering, why would it break your 360 is you put customs on it?

I've never done it, but I would imagine it would be hard as hell. Because all the Guitar does is reconfigure how the controller works, so it would be easy to mod that part of the game, just add some different controls. Like, instead of X O O X, you could mod it to X O X X. But to have custom lyrics? That'd be near impossible. You'd have to code every pitch of every syllable. I think it'll be impossible on any system

The Ps2 was easily modifyable (is that a word?) obviously, if you know what you're doing. But I think it was somewhere in a Q&A that HMX said they have top notch people working on the security of the game.
That goes for both leaderboards and customizing.

I don't see it happening, unless some freak genius breaks it wide open and figures it out, spreading the word.

The main issue with any kind of custom songs is that they require you to physically mod your console in order to play burned discs. Not something I would do with a fragile 360.

Mine's so fragile that it broke itself from me playing it too much. Waiting on repairs, currently. Maybe the guys fixing my box will mod it for me? Tee hee hee...

I would never want to do that with rock band. The DLC will be fine for me.
