You know, Zeppelin, AC/DC, some more of the Who and Metallica....

There's another Metallica song planned, and an entire Who album supposedly, but I think the other two come down to licensing rights more than anything at this point, especially LZ

Yeah AC/DC and Led Zepplin have been begged and pleaded with for quite some time now. They refuse to let those songs in.

But a lot more of The Who and Metallica coming.

Even with licensing issues, there are tons of real bands that are good that are nicer when it comes to licensing and/or are lesser known. There is no excuse for Paramore.

"real bands"? It seems pretty close minded of you to say that every band that isn't AC/DC, Led Zep, Metallica or The Who is fake. I'm not so big on Paramore myself but that song is fun and I applaud HMX for trying to put as many rock sub-genres as they can in to the game.

Yeah, I was unaware that Paramore or Black Tide played any of their own instruments and that they were fake. Glad I got that cleared up for me.

Purposely misinterpreting idioms is really cool. I wasn't even calling them fake either, I was calling them suck.

Subgenres are good though. But there are so many that you don't need to include Pop Rock/Punk.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_rock_genres

As you can see, there are a lot of subgenres. I'm not saying include them all, I'm just talking about the pool of music they have to choose from. There is a lot of older punk and protopunk, not to mention a lot of the 80s Post Punk and New Wave that should be getting picked over this bastardization of Punk they call Emo/Pop Punk.

Well, that's your opinion. All you have to do is look through the 3/11 DLC thread to see that a lot fo people disagree with you and that's their opinion. Basically, if you don't like it then don't download it. Coming on here and saying that this certain type of rock isn't real or it sucks because it's not what you like is terribly rude and unnecessary. I know you probably don't mean it this way but saying something like that makes everyone who likes the music you're bashing feel like you are attacking them personally for liking said music. You can be a Music Fascist all you want, just don't berate others for having different opinions.

It's not like Harmonix can just snap their fingers and add a song, but they're too evil to let you have it just because. There's a whole process to it.

I purposely misinterpreted an idiom (which seems to be the word of the day on the boards for some reason) because you purposely came to the boards and trashed music that I like. Booyakasha.

Yeah, there are so many sub genre's they don't need to include old style Rock and Roll.

There are so many bands, they don't need any The Who, Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, anything of that matter.

Your statement was just plain arrogant.

Further cementing what I think of people who listen to bands like Paramore.

Half of my hate for the music is because it's so popular, and because so many idiots like it. If it had normal popularity and a fanbase that wasn't full of morons (I'm not even talking these forums. You Paramore/emo pop punk fans on these boards are geniuses compared to some in real life)

I was saying that because he said they needed to include subgenres. Those bands are hugely influential, and are not flavor of the week pop. Emo is not a lasting subgenre, while many subgenres who have not been implemented are not 10 second pop hits, and are made with artistic integrity. Your statement is just plain stupid.

EMO HAS BEEN AROUND SINCE THE 80S

Get a clue of what you're talking about before you go ahead and speak.

Just because something is a flavor of the week, doesn't validate it not being in rock band anyway.

EMO IN THE 80S WAS DIFFERENT FROM EMO NOW!

When I say EMO in the context of 2000S POP PUNK YOU CAN ASSUME THAT I'M TALKING ABOUT IT'S MODERN INCARNATION! Emo used to refer to a subgenre of Hardcore punk, however its use as a descriptor of 2000s pop punk is way more popular. Using emo now to refer to the 80s Emo is like using *** to refer to happy. Most people use it as a slang term for homosexuality. There's no point in using the antiquated definition.

Flavor of the week would be fine if the rate of DLC was about 5 times faster. There is way too much good meaningful music that wasn't just flavor of the week (Just to remind you, the 60s, 70s, and especially 80s had flavor of the week crap too). They still have to cover the roots of Rock, let alone a lot of the stuff from the 60s 70s 80s and 90s. There is also nonsellout music in the 2000s to be added too.

You think emo in this decade is popular?
Fall out boy is not emo
neither is panic!
I don't care if fans dress emo, it's not emo
Emo of now a days maybe more popular than old emo, but it's still not very popular.

I agree with Zep and AC/DC, but Metallica is the most grossly overrated band ever, enough of there crap has been released

Further cementing what I think of people who judge people while not knowing one iota about them! This game is really fun, we should do this more often.

Just because I don't know you personally doesn't mean I can't judge you based on what you say on the internet. Oh, and you get points for taking what I said, and changing it up to insult me. That's very clever. You are clearly a master of wit.

No I didn't look that up. It's in my vocabulary. It's one of those things that expands when you're educated.
