Most Hated Song on Rock Band

This is a poll to see which song is the most hated on rock band. I put a few names of songs that people dont like (from that other thread) so yeah

Well, I like all those songs you put up except Dead on Arrival and I'm So Sick. If I had to pick my most hated, though, I'd say Creep. It's insipid and boring, like everything else by Radiohead.

but worst i'd definitely say missisippi queen or (im sorry, i know people will hate me for this) in bloom.
it's so boring and repetitive, and Nirvana is grossly overrated

as a band with my friends, we've never done it except for when we used to do band world tour

Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld. They put it in South Park to be funny. In Rock Band it's out of context and so it's no longer funny. It ends up being noise and not very good at all.

I think that GG&HT and Orange Crush are just fine, all the rest suck hard.

Only reason GG&HT is on the list is it is too long and hard for most people.
I like it, but cant play it on drums all that well.

Sabotage sucks the hardest.

"I'm So Sick" does not deserve to be on this list. Flyleaf is one of my favorite bands. :mad:

But its a toss up between "Sabotage", "Maps, and "Timmy", but I'd have to say "Sabotage", it's just down right terrible even worse than "Maps".

Now if I had to pick any song from the game instead of this poll, it would be "Welcome Home", his voice is just hideous.

I don't wish death on Molly Hatchet, but for some reason I've never had any fun playing that song, mind the fact that I don't have a drum set yet. I've played it solo and in a group and just haven't gotten any enjoyment out of it, either from its composition or difficulty. All the other ones listed in the poll I couldn't say that about. Part of it is also the built-up contempt and frustration that this board is instilling in me as time goes by. I originally come from one of the most obnoxious, hateful message boards on the net but the immense crop of ungrateful, whining trolls on this forum makes me want to throw people down stairs. Half the threads on the front page at any given time are "I hate this week's DLC", "Why is all the DLC crap HMX", "I wish these songs weren't in RB", "Why wasn't I personally consulted for the setlist", etc etc. I don't refer to the people overseas that don't have this game yet or the disgruntled people who've gone through the faulty hardware dilemma, but they are overshadowed by the rest.

So if I had to pick a song that fit the bill for the op's question, that's the one.

Coming up a distant second would be Highway Star. I think the reason behind this on is likely just hearing it every time the game starts up...

I have to shake my head at some of these songs *some* of you have suggested....when it's PAINFULLY obvious the WORST song on this game is Electric Version.

That has to be the worst piece of music I have ever heard in my life, in my honest opinion, even "Yes We Can" from GH2 is better that that song, and it made me wanna tear my ears off whenever it got previewed by someone.

For cryin' out loud...lyrics are BA BA BA.

Well if we're included extra content, then I would have to say my 5 least favorite are:

1. Sprode

5. Brainpower

This is just in terms of song quality, rather than fun factor to play. Though as long as we're on the topic of questionable lyrics -- "I've got my spine, I've got my orange crush." wtf?

In terms of "fun factor" I would have to put "Next to You" and "Highway Star" up there even though I really like they songs. They're just obnoxious to play on guitar (at least on Medium which is where I currently play (only had the game about 3 weeks))

Edit to Add: I actually like Timmy myself. Not so much for playing solo, but its hilarious (IMHO) at parties and the like and for that reason I think it was a great addition. Plus you need not worry about it coming up often in BWT.

Challenge is a far cry from fun. Green Grass and High Tides, Shockwave, Working Man - those are challenging, but they're fun.

Dead on Arrival is "let's see how long you can keep up strumming the same chords three times a second".

Well, I could see that coming from a guitarist/bassist.

...It's INSANELY hard on expert drums, and vocals aren't a cake walk either. I can't see that song being put in GH...

But I sing, and I actually enjoy singing that song (versus GGHT, which I use as an opportunity to go to the bathroom).

This game isn't ALL about guitar :)

Well I imagine that HMX believed that FOB was popular enough that there would be people excited to play it. HMX has clearly attempted to bring a wide range of "rock" music into the game in an effort to appeal to as many people as possible.

The hate FOB comes from a combination of disliking the song itself and on top of that disliking the note charts as well. I'm not much of a Greatful Dead fan, but I think that the songs they added are fun to play. Merely repeating the same note as fast as you can though is not really fun, even if it is challenging.

By the same token, a song need not be challenging in order to be fun. Take Brass in Pocket for example. Its an easy song, but a fairly popular song as well, so even though its not difficult people still enjoy playing it. Somebody who doesn't like the song though probably hates it on Rock Band too.

B4 I complain I want to say that they did a gr8 job with the song list for this game. Reading the list in the store made me wnat to buy it. I'm a huge fan of the Pixies, Nirvana, RHCP, Soundgarden, and Radiohead so to have alternative music represented so well in the game was a huge plus.
Now to the complaining: EVERTHING about Bon Jovi sucks. (I've been a million places and I've rocked them all is the worst line in the history of music). I h8 Bon Jovi and I wish his career woulda stayed dead after Cobain killed it the first time. But I voted for DOA because that song sucks too and it had Dead in the title like Bon Jovi.

It's so spectacularly awful that I feel it must have been chosen to render every other song on the disc brilliant by contrast. It is a canker, festooned with pus, on the full, pouty lips of the supermodel that is Rock Band.

This poll is thus deeply flawed, needing only one item, and thereby rendering itself moot. I will brook no dissent from this view.

I definitely hate Sabotage; none of my friends have any fun playing it. It's to the point where if I overhear some random person on the street or in a restaurant say "sabotage" I have to fight to keep myself from ranting about the Beastie Boys.

Can't measure these things but I can only truly hate a song on the main setlist, everything else is optional after all. I still hold a grudge against GG&HT just because the medium version is 100x harder than the hard version which seems like a cruel joke.

Other than that: Vasoline, Dead on Arrival, Welcome Home, Dani California etc. all excreble mostly because they are so mediocre. I mean how can you play Dani and not think 'Goddamn it, why isn't this Suck My Kiss???'

I thought Dead On Arrival was crap when I first heard it, but it's grown on me, even if the band itself is a bunch of cartoon characters. Actually, most everything that I didn't like it at first (Orange Crush, Highway Star) has grown on me, with the exception of Aerosmith, which has gone the other way.

Electric Version kicks ass. I think all of my favorite songs in the game (to listen to, not necessarily to play) are among the most hated. Radiohead is my favorite band, I love the New Pornos and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs as well.

Electric Version is a solid second though. All the others are fine.

I would have to say Wave of Mutilation. I like the Pixies just fine, but I just can't get into that song. Every time it comes up it feels like a chore to play. I guess Electric Version isn't that great either. New Pornographers have some decent songs too. I guess I should have to like them because they are from Vancouver, and so am I, but I don't care for that song any.

Normally I would have chosen the Fall Out Boy song, but at least the drums are challenging even if I hate to listen to it. I voted for 'Maps' because there is absolutely NOTHING redeemable about that thing and I have no idea why it is in RB. The Timmy song sucks pretty hard too.
