Goth Rock, Surf Punk, Southern Rock, Ska, ect;

Does anyone else think HMX needs to dig deeper into the world of rock? I mean Alex Rigopulos himself even said that they'd span all genres from goth to southern rock, and so far the list has been nothing but pop, metal, classic rock, and grunge.

I'd kill to see The Misfits in this game. As well as some more Kansas. "Dust In The Wind", anyone?

...and Stoner Rock such as Valiant Thorr would pwn to the max.

Anybody have any thoughts as to what the definition of rock is?

my thoughts are "DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT!" and some pink floyd and zeppelin would be awesome....maybe meshuggah or mushroomhead. kansas would be sweet but please....please no MCR :P

Well, I can't wait to play an acoustic guitar riff that's hardly longer than three seconds over and over during the entire song.

But singing actually would be fun. Very fun. DitW is a great song with amazing vocals, and it's a pity that it doesn't fit the game.

Now, if you were to mention Child of Innocence, People of the South Wind, What's On My Mind, Miracles Out of Nowhere, Belexes, etc. I'd be right behind you. Kansas has several songs that would be great on Rock Band. Dust in the Wind just isn't one of them.

Yes. I want as many styles as possible.

Such as punk, rock, ska, rockabilly, folk, psychedelia, alternative, blues, surf, metal and indie rock.

That's one of the appeals of this game for me.

Yeah, Dust in the Wind would be fun to sing but not fun for anyone else.

I'd love to see Carry On Wayward Son given the whole band treatment. Same goes for a lot of GH1, 2 and 80s tracks.

But on topic: I'm all for more styles of 'rock'.

I'd love to see more Funk rock and Progressive rock. Progressive rock would fit great in the game too, seeing as there's alot of hard songs for all instruments. Yes, Genesis, Rush, Kansas, Dream Theater, I hope to see all of those in the game. Shame you can't play synth though

Anybody familiar with Bauhaus? A mid 80's goth rock band who are nowadays considered as one of the founding fathers of goth rock along with David Bowie, NIN, and early Misfits.

Oh yeah, and ska ftw. Reel Big Fish, Sublime, and 311 are just some of the bands that deserve to be in this game.

Death Metal DLC = pwn. I really hope they put some In Flames or Children Of Bodom.
