Bioshock - Final Thoughts (Spoiler Zone)

I knew the achievements... but Atlas, IS Fontaine? The multiple endings (I looked that one up, I killed some Lil Sis so I wanted to know the good guy story) and Ryan is your Dad... just wow.

Would you kindly leave some reviews for this fantastic game? :P bioshock players will know what i mean

Because that was a non-spoiler, Bioshock DEMO zone which others turned into a game zone.

I loved the last few hours of play, it was great. I got the good ending, a great way to finish the game, i was quite pleased. Pretty much the from when you reached ryan through the rest of the game was simply amazing.

atlas also says it at the very end........ something like "just like your father, ryan"

also it was fairly obvious with the diary you speak of, as well as a few other ones pertaining to a certain young child.

beat it a couple days ago. Loved it, gonna go through again on hard (which is way harder than the demo suggests), but I'm burnt out at the moment and have a lot of work to do before I get back to it.. plus metroid is tuesday so I'll probably be on that

To me my favorite level was the creation of the masterpiece. When i was playing the level and Cohen goes insane after putting the 3rd picture up and unleashes a bunch of splicers i was going wrench crazy and then the ballet music chimed in and it felt like some weird ballet with me and the splicers "dancing" around each other considering they were all thug splicers. Just a great level and a great game overall.

Twas an excellent level that. I was playing on easy, rushing it cos I needed to know the story, and I found the last level... underwhelming. But, the rest of the game made up for it.

Also, since I'm playing through normal tomorrow, I find that the game isn't as much fun when you're using guns. The funny twists of lowering a big daddy's health through making him your friend, and then knocking him down.

And, another point for discussion: I found the vita-chamber replacement of checkpoint system worked better, although a noob could exploit, if they had the paitent to keep on hitting the big daddy with a wrench :P

For a game to pull off single player, it must be a damn near perfect plot. What made Bioshock so amazing was the voice acting. Go read up what GameSpot thought of Metroid Prime 3 "hammy voice acting", the plot just isn't there.

And believe me, if the gameplay was half as good as Bioshock, the games sites would have been shouting it from the rooftops.

I thought the idea of that something as simply as "would you kindly" being the cause of this. Like the audio diary: he gives a girl a puppy, and then asks her to break its neck, she's crying, and then he goes "would you kindly break its neck" and then the dog dies.

The only question I have is when Fontaine/Atlas was done with you, why didn't he say "would you kindly kill yourself" or something.

well, fontaine says to you over your radio in the level after Ryan dies "would you kindly go get stepped on by a big daddy" and gets pissed off when you don't.

What? Wow, damn, I missed that. But I saved all the lil sis. They're so cute. :D And got such a nice happy ending. I'd like to see the bad ending too though.

Bad is when the little sisters attack Fontaine, you grab a little sister as if you're going to harvest them then the woman does a voiceover of how "he took everything Rapture had and still wanted more" over splicers rising to the surface next to a submarine. It finishes on a zoomin of a nuclear bomb on the submarine...

Its only a game... I was gonna do either ending anyway but on my first go so it'd be easier I harvested the majority of them. I felt a tinge of guilt - but now I'm doing it for Little Sister Saviour and Dealt With All Sisters award (well, I didnt know at the time that if you followed a Big Daddy he'd eventually hit the weird hole things for them, so I sorta skipped through).

Also, I need the "Irony" award for taking a picture of Cohen, the "Historian" for all diaries (I almost had it, but I rushed one section of it :() and the "Found Secret Quarters of Cohen".

And the Research awards - yeah right, the taking pictures of spider splicers was the only bit I found boring in the game.

And I got all the research done except for the bouncer... grr.. so I missed on two achievements.

Man, was I glad Fontaine was easy to kill. I really, really liked that game, but I wanted to finish it so badly by the time I got to Sander Cohen that I just wanted it to end. I really enjoyed the game overall, but I was determined to actually finish the game, and Blue Dragon came out yesterday. So, I worked my butt off and finished it last night, played 25 minutes of Blue Dragon and went out for the evening.

If anyone is interested, if you can stand DragonBall animation style, Blue Dragon is pretty fun so far. Also, the dang game is 3 freaking DVDs.

Well, none of them say "Making Of" or anything. They just say Disc 1, Disc 2, Disc 3, so I'd assume they're all game discs. It cuts to a scene about every 10 minutes so far.

yeah, it would be helpful if they had a counter for it. i restarted yesterday and i end up taking an hour in every room to make sure i didn't miss one.

I found all but one on my first run. (the one that magically appears on the bar after you kill the guy in the strip club)

I just compared what I had found to the gamefaq one.
