You know the infamous *clink!* that comes with missing a note? Well, if you pay close attention to the 23 second video showing Tom Sawyer's drums off, you'll hear a stick click for every missed note. Am I the only one to notice this? Was it in the game or was the guy in real life clicking his sticks together on accident?

hard to tell for sure.. there is bound to be a note miss indicator of some kind so the sound of the stick would make sense. taking another look at the vid it could have been both.

I always thought it was the person on drums, not the game. But now that I think about it, it's probably is the game's error sound.

It's the sound the game makes for a mistake. If you watch the gamespot video with the announcer playing Ok Go on easy, he unleashes a flurry of clicks that almost ruins listening to the song.
