The "thrash pack" predictions narrowly lost out to "surprise" this week. Let's see if we can call next week. Remember, this is based on known information, not wild speculation or wishlists.

I am absolutely positive it won't be "Close to you" by the Carpenters.
That should narrow it down a bit.

The DLC fairy came to me and told me it would be two Panic at the disco songs, and a Fall out boy song.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Last week's was not locked. This is all based on educated guesses and isn't meant to be a wishlist thread.
Anyway, I'm still banking on the Brit Rock Pack, since it was the only obviously complete pack found in the DLC files and they look to be breaking up the leaked March schedule as much as possible.

A very close tie between the Rolling Stones Pack, the Metal Pack, and the Classic Rock pack.

Alright then. After the Two weeks of Increably non rock DLC
As stated many times, pretty much everything made in the past 50 years besides rap, electronic, and jazz... is rock.
Also, might I suggest FireFox which has built in spell check.

I know but the way i see it is Every other week theres something I like or at least will spend money on. but two weeks in a row? Well that just means something Good will come next week. I would put money on The Classic Rock pack or some form of classic rock

If they'd put in Tokio Hotel.. wonder if they would use a female or a male vocalist in-game for that.. I mean.. the dude looks like a lady (took me months to figure he was a he and not a she)

You will never find Paramore on my MP3 player, but fun song to play.
I kinda like some of Serj's stuff and SOAD, but not fun at all to play.
Actually it kinda makes me wonder if any SOAD stuff would be fun to play.
Point is, just because it's not on your damn MP3, doesn't mean you wouldn't have fun.
Like i said, I can't wait:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: til the Panic! and Fall out boy that Apples told me in a pm we would be getting next week.

It looks like a lot of people are banking on the classic rock pack. Any reason/logic behind all of the support that anyone cares to share?

Well the past two weeks we have had Two fairley new bands. Yes we got the greatfull dead so that might hurt the chances but I wouldent be suprised if they through something from the 80's in there either.

I mean c'mon, harmonix announced who's next shortly after game release, five months later and we're without it...

I predict it will be something that half the community won't care about, a quarter of the community will love, and the other quarter will hate with a passion. Then the lovers and the haters will tear this place apart for a few days "debating" each others musical tastes while the rest of us wonder why the hell we still come here. Then people will get bored and start speculating about the next week's DLC :D

I'm almost sure it's not going to be the Metal Pack; I think Harmonix has just been proving the OXM list incorrect as much as they can. Whether they mean to screw with us or OXM itself, I'm not sure, but why would they just start following the list at the end of the month?
I think they've surprised us enough. The SXSW pack threw everyone completely off balance, and let's face it, a bunch of people outright didn't/wouldn't like the Thrash Pack.
I also don't think it's going to be either of the incomplete packs, ruling out the foreign pack and the Stones pack.
I thirdly don't think it's going to be either of the albums. Somehow it doesn't seem that they could keep it so quiet; I seem to picture there being a little bit of a heads-up before they drop a bomb like that.
They're having problems with Who's Next, and they said it would come before Nevermind. But the problems lead me to think they may forego this and release Nevermind soon to make a lot of people shut the hell up. But this week, I doubt it.
That leaves the Brit Pack, the Classic Pack, and some random songs.
I'm thinking Still Alive will be released on April Fools', and I doubt they'd release two Paramore songs within such a short amount of time. That leaves Zero and Pinball Wizard, not enough to fill a weeks' worth of DLC, but I'm sure Harmonix could pull something out of their sleeve. (Then again, my original hypothesis was no surprises, but one song wouldn't be as earth-shaking. I still view it as slightly unlikely.)
The Classic Rock pack was just knocked out of place this last week, and the Thrash pack was bumped the week before. They could be releasing the previously announced OXM packs in order, so that leaves a decent possibility for that one.
Then there's the British Rock Pack. I want this pack so, so badly, mainly because it includes Hysteria by Muse, but the other tracks would be worth getting as well. It was one of the first things people started piecing together when the list of leaked songs came out and we still haven't gotten it. It's led me to start thinking of the reasons for doing so; maybe they were charted extremely badly and Harmonix is too embarrassed of them to release them in a timely fashion (though I trust them to do as good of a job as possible, especially with a charter's joy like Hysteria), or maybe they're sadistic souls who just like seeing the huddled forumite masses fight over just who wrote Hysteria. I'm afraid that's something we may never find out, but until then, I really hope this pack comes out this week.
That being said, I think Classic Rock Pack has the greatest chance of being released. The British Rock Pack is just what I want to come out.

No i think the problem is With Downloadable albums in general. Not just Whos Next. I Think Harmonix will honor that Whos Next is first although we have been going backwords working our way from the most recently confirmed to the Earliest confirmed. We finaly got the greatful dead and when where those anounced probably after Nevermind.
Anyway good analisis but still not all those songs where confirmed so im gonna go with the classic rock pack on this one

I'll be surprised if it isn't the 'classic rock' pack. In my opinion, the past few weeks weren't really intended to be huge moneymakers - they are either more directed towards getting a niche audience to buy the game (Thrash, Grateful Dead, NIN) or band promotion ($1 pack). Rock Band is due for a pack that will sell a ton and I think the 'classic rock' pack will. Also, it will be a nice change of pace from the Thrash pack.
Personally, I know I've spent $1 the past four weeks on DLC and will be spending at least $4 once the 'classic rock' pack comes out.

Well, it might be the metal, but then we have two very heavy weeks in a row. I think the classic makes the most sense.

Would it not be great if Harmonix put up a song, having the title and description as "Stairway to Heaven" and the description say "by Led Zeppelin". Of course, people would get excited. They download it, go to the menu, pick the song (still say's Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin)... the song loads up, the title comes up, still saying it's stairway... and then BAM, Never gonna give you up starts playing.
I would laugh my ass off... and maybe cry a bit :(

I wouldn't ***** about the classic rock pack or the metal pack. They are both awesome packs. We know they're coming. They are both made of awesome.
I'd love to have Zero with some other bands.
I'm just glad March is almost over and the whole OXM 'leak' is almost out the door and we'll be dealing with the great unknown again with only a small amount of known leaked songs.

Personally I will be happy when we filter through all of these leaked songs, I prefer the surprise good or bad. If I had to vote, I would go with the metal pack that is holding Metallica Fuel. However feel free to throw out a curve ball Harmonix with something not listed. I know theres a ton of classic rock fans hanging out, but to me it feels as though we have plenty of classic rock. Although we got a recent surge of a few things, the week before that we had a nice 6 pack of more "classic rock". I say lets compromise, how about a ballad pack or something, a little November Rain, maybe Every Rose has Its Thorn, maybe Quicksand Jesus, you know the stuff to really excite the person who is singing. My 2 cents, I will be happy regardless though :D
