So here's the lowdown:
*It's too easy even on expert
*Battle Mode blows
*Not enough Star Power
Questions?
I trust this mainly because first the site doesn't have the word "hero" in it and second Kotaku is Kotaku.
Linky of honesty (http://www.gametab.com/news/1018158/)
Edit: I also wanna note the editor mentions he still will be buying the game.

I wouldn't call that "badmouthing," more like "constructive criticism."
And I don't know how it being too easy is a bad thing.

Probably because people *****ed and complained about GH 2 being too hard.

Gawd thats stupid , making it easier hurts the replay value , being hard is what i loved about the game you know being hard and you try and try and its soo much fun :)

Battle mode blowing? I'M SO SHOCKED I'M GOING TO JUMP IN FRONT OF A CAR
Oh wait, nope.
And maybe there's no star power simply because it is easier :P I imagine it's still undergoing tweaking, right?

Meh it's probably for the best, it might sell better since it's easier.

Yes, that's true. Yet, don't forget that people *****ed about GHE:RT80s was too easy. From what I got out of the article, GH3 will be the easiest one out of them all! If that's true, then it might be too easy!

We share one thing common to emos:
A burning, sensual, romantic, passionate, love for pain.

Neversoft said that the difficulty is between GH 2 and GH 1. And remember, what's very easy for a fanboy might be very hard for the average consumer.

Those are almost like two completely different games due to the hammer on/pull off differences.

Please read this whole thread. Especially teh first fight between me and Barfo.
Needless to say I hope those guys are wise enough not to ban me.

If they ban you who cares really? They're immature little b*tches if they ban you. If they fight it out with you and then you guys compromise and then all have group sex afterwards then they're ok.

Previews usually highlight the best parts and downplay the flaws.
If they highlight the flaws, that's a bad thing.

With every article about GH III I read, there are more and more criticisms, this makes me less and less eager to actually buy the game.
I'm not overly concerned with the difficulties of the songs, I find the easier songs are almost always more fun to play and listen to.

Man, GH3 is effing bipolar. I've been indifferent ever since the announcement of TTFaF, becoming excited again at how good Even Flow looked and am now plunged back into uncertainty.
If it's easier than GHE:Rt80s, than that's not all that good.

I'll give Neversoft the benefit of the doubt. The game's not finished yet. Hopefully they're still tweaking the HO/POs.

Is it surprising to find a lack of any kind of rational response from the Score Hero brass after the debacle that was the SH Activision event thread?

What are you referring to? I keep occasional tabs on that site, but didn't notice any sort of a "debacle" in relation to the Scorehero visit to Neversoft.

Well, the guys at ScoreHero are among the best players in the world. If they thought the game were too easy, either they'd mention it to Neversoft, or announce it on their board. If they say the game is hard, and it comes out and everyone finds it easy, it makes their skills look less.

And remember, lots of those people from Scorehero or the GH forums play GH like it's a sport. It's not, it's just a game. And that's the way the average consumer will view it. They don't really care about "FC"ing Through the Fire and Flames on expert, they just want to have fun. Lowering difficulty is only a good thing for the average consumer.

I'm referring to the fact that every person involved in the visit returned to post nothing but glowing reviews of the GH3 build, with nary a flaw mentioned. It just seems entirely disingenuous to pretend that the game would be "flawless" at that point.

Man how could making a reasoned, polite point be grounds for banning? Hope that doesnt happen to ya I've been lurking over there for a long time but man Cult of Personality doesnt just describe the GH3 song man they treat a handful of people overthere w such reverence. maybe im just bitter though.

Well, they did fly them out on their dime. I'd probably say it was the best game ever if I scored a free trip.

Superman 64 was amazing on every level. The hardest difficulty gave expert players what they craved, and the lack of any bugs or problems made this game GOTY 2007 for sure.
Also we got a free trip and booze...

Kotaku is good for announcements...as for opinions I'd have to say that the people running the site and the majority of the members are more annoying and have their heads farther up their own asses than a group of "elitest" "necro" "kvlt" black metal dicks.
And basically, the only opinion I'm forming on GH3 before it's released is that currently the tracklist is the most solid out of any music game I've ever seen and it tears apart Rock Band's pathetic excuse for a setlist.
