4 instruments x 4 difficulties x 40 songs x DLC which is a varible because we don't know about how many songs that's gonna be, so I won't do that right now.

It comes out to...

640 songs that you always get something new to do. Holy cow, I didn't think it'd be that much. AWESOME!

Everything:

- Soundtrack is amazing
-Peripherals look outstanding
- Online sounds amazing
- DLC is is blowing my mind

The only complaint I have is the choice of Radiohead songs, but otherwise this is everything seems rock solid.

After watching a couple videos for GH III's battle mode, I love the fact that Rock Band won't have any of that needless crap in faceoffs. It looks like an annoying way for people that suck to cast their blame on something other than their suckiness, not to mention how terribly frustrating it seems like it would be to play. Friendly battles ftw!

As for Rock Band as a whole, without comparing it to something else, now that Freezepop is confirmed I can't think of anything I don't love about it.

No kidding, I can't stand it when people bash/praise something before they even have the opportunity to form an educated opinion.

But from what's announced so far, I likey what I see:D

...that so far the game is shaping up to be EXACTLY what I had in mind after becoming addicted to Guitar Hero. Still can't believe it's happening, I figured it would eventually but that it would be at least another 5 years down the road. So awesome.

...that they've really paid attention and have been adding little things that the community has wanted, random quick-play option, build-a-set-list for career mode, character creation, band logos, etc...

...that these forums are a great place to learn about the game and the people behind the game and the fans that make the game possible.

...that every time I shout 'Tool!' on these forums I get at least 5 regular posters backing me up.

...that the tentative release date is only 5 days before my 30th birthday, and my wife has already submitted to the fact that we will be having a Rock Band themed party, hopefully going whole hog and renting out some place w/ a stage.

...that soon, I will get to feel like a bonafide rock star.

What do I love about Rock Band, I love the way it makes me feel, the way it always knows the right things to say, how it brings me my pipe and slippers after a rough day. O Rock Band, how I love thee....


btw, this game is coming out 7 days before my bday and it would be awesome if Harmonix gave me a nice gift this year....Hint, hint ;) ;)
