Im back for my Ugh.. 3rd WarHawk Thread the game is only 2 Days Away! This thread will have a lot of Info from the game :D

Maps

There are five maps on Warhawk. In a game you are able to choose which areas are open. Archipelago is a groups of islands floating high in the air with a giant castle in the middle. The Badlands is a desert canyon area with little civilization and a huge fortress. The Destroyed Capitol map is at the top of skyscrapers in the ruins of the Eucadian capital from the Chernovan invasion. The Island Outpost is a military outpost with a bases on each end. It is wanted by both forces, and Ecudia is a mountainous land with scattered villages.

Vehicles

The Eucadian tank fighting on a bridge.There are three vehicles for each faction; a Warhawk/Nemesis aircraft, a jeep, and tank. The Warhawk is the plane for the Eucadian forces. While it has a regular flight mode that resembles a fighter jet it also has a hover mode that resembles helicopter. The official site says that it is a artistic mix of Curtis P-40 Warhawk and the A-10 Warthog. The Chernovan plane is called the Nemesis. Its design was a combination of the German Luftwaffe, Messerschmitt Me-262, and the Lockheed Martin F-35B. The jeeps of both sides are similar in everything besides looks. Both hold three people, are fast with little protection, and have a machine gun on the back. The Eucadian one is green and the Chernovan one is grey. The tanks are also very similar besides the looks. Both hold two people, are slow, and easy to target. The second person is able to pop in and out to shoot people.

Turrets

There are three different types of turrets. The Anti-Aircraft Turret is made mostly to take down planes. It has short burst of ammo and long reloading times. The Homing Missile Turret has a good advantage with its lock-on function, but when firing makes your back side vulnerable to enemies. The Heavy Machine Gun Turret is identical to the machine gun on the back of jeeps, but on a solid place. If you fire the machine gun too long it will overheat, making you wait for it to cool down before you can resume firing.

Aircraft Weapons

The Homing Missile is exactly what it sounds like. It can lock on to aircraft or be dropped like a air-to-ground bomb. The Swarm Missiles are multi-target and able to be targeted onto one target or many. The Cluster Munition is an anti-ground bomb that when dropped splits into 25 little bombs. The Chaff Dispenser is able to throw off any projectiles locked on to you. The Tow Missile is a special missile that must be launched while in hover mode. When fired you can guide it to its target with a first-person view through the missile. The Aerial Mine is a mine that floats in the air and will explode when hit by aircraft. The mine will not be set if you are to close to the ground. The Avionics Package makes you invisible from sight, on the map, and locking on.



Soldier Weapons

The Service Pistol is standard with all troops and has unlimited ammo. The Combat Blade is also standard, but can only be used in close range attacks. The Grenade is used against troops and ground vehicles. The more accuracy upgrades you get, the more powerful your grenades become. The Binoculars are only used to request attacks from the aircraft. The Automatic Rifle has a longer range then the pistol and has a faster rate of fire. The Portable Missile is able to take out ground vehicles and aircraft with a lock on function. The Sniper Rifle includes two scope magnifications and can take a soldier out with one shot. The Flamethrower is used against troops and vehicles. It is good for when being attacked in close range

I'm sure this game is good, but not THAT good. There are much better games that deserve their own thread, like Bioshock.

Anyways, enjoy the game when it comes out!

Yeah i just got my Oct Psm and i was surprised why would Psm give it a 6.5 i read on and its because it doesn't have a story mode wich is stupid this game is Multiplayer Only so why would they take off points for that :confused:

:( I was looking forward to this game, but then I got into Persona 3 - and I won't be able to finish before this comes out!... I need my Heavenly Sword so bad it hurts!!! But after that, I'll be picking WH up! :D

I had it for a week then i Deleted it :( I've should had kept playing it but i was afraid of my account getting Banned.

Also i found out the Game stores 800mb on your HDD and that makes loading really fast about 5 secs

I won't be around till dinner time (5 or 6 pm EST) because I have work during the morning/afternoon and then I have to go to Wal-Mart to pick it up because in a city of 100,000 people we only have one video game based store connected to a Hollywood Video and they won't have it until Wednesday.

It's not like everyone didn't know it was multiplayer only. As long as its fun enough and has solid replay value it deserves a fair score. Don't instantly dock points because it doesnt have SP.

IFFY SOURCES? EDGE is THE industry magazine. Its reviews are most trusted by those in the business (dunno bout HMX dudes, but I think the 20 page job section says it all). It doesn't sell well, but it has a decent American base as well as British, and I am a happy subscriber.

Ugh...why wasn't this game available to buy in stores today?? I looked at that second review score really quick and I thought it read as PSM 3.9/10

Seriously, all the stores in my area (4 Gamestops, 2 Wal-Marts, 2 Targets, and a Best-Buy) didn't have it on the street date, and only a few of them claim they'll have it today. Darn it, why can't people release games on the right days anymore?

Maybe we passed through a time-rift of some sort and today is actually Tuesday August 28th because that is the only explanation I can think of that no store had it on the game's "release date." But both the Gamecrazy and Gamestop said they would have it today.....hopefully.

Yes! I got to play it for like an hour today and it was awesome!! Getting into a 4-buggy race in a CTF game to recover our flag was an amazing experience. Looking forward to playing it more this weekend when I get some free time.

I'm barely starting to get the hang of it, but I can say that flying around in the warhawk and shooting guys in the air or ground is tons of fun!!:D

I was amazed of the amount of players that where online, literally hundreds and hundreds of rooms all packed with up to 32 people playing. No shortage of users to play with here!!! And its been only two days since the release!!:eek: (One if you consider that until today the game was available on retail) by this weekend online is gona be insane...:cool:

Getting used to the motion controlled flight takes a ton of effort to get used to, but I've found that it really improves your shooting radius. I can't believe how much fun this game is.

Yeah I know, I've tried this many times but my confirmation email they sent me screwed up and I can't do anything to my profile or fix things, and I'm really to lazy to create a new account. So I sort of have to put it in manually. It sucks, I know. This is why I don't have an avatar. It asks for my s/n and password and then it says "login successful...page loading." and then shoots me automatically back to the screen where they want my info again.
