Neil Peart and Keith Moon. It's a toss up for me, so I flipped a coin and got Neil. They are my two favorite drummers of all time.

It was inbetween Carey, Pert, and Moon for me, but I like Tool's overall sound more, so I picked him.

Peart would be great if there was a double bass, as that's what he typically uses, but there's not, so I went with Moon.

Neither. Brann Dailor of Mastodon would be the most fun drummer to play.

Based on the Rockband "4-piece" drum set-up, this would easily apply to John Bonham and his style of play. Most of these other drummers use/used monster drumsets with double or more bass drums, but Bonham did his magic with a simple set-up. Bonham used Ludwig Speed King Pedals throughout his career. His trademark bass drum "triplets," most notable in Good Times, Bad Times, were done with a single bass pedal, and not a double bass pedal. Unlike contemporary innovators, Bonham did not use a double-bass drum kit. He did once own one (it was featured in the demo "Communication Breakdown"), but removed it from his kit when the rest of the band decided it was drowning everything else out.
So in regards to your question, John Bonham would be the best drummer for Rockband.
Peart hands down. He is the hardest
