lmao, I thought the same thing when I came to it. I remember watching it come down the screen, thinking "WTF!!". No, I can't play it, but I can't even finish 5 songs on Expert, so at least I can finish the song. Sorry, can't help, but I share ur pain.

Yes on the 2nd string of them, no on the first. I always play an extra damn beat :(
I can't imagine playing them on a stock pedal though (although I'm sure there are people who can).

I've got to see it... what section is it in?

Has anyone been able to hit that string of bass notes that was obviously played on a double bass? I even tried it with 2 feet on the pedal last night and couldn't do it.
Why put it in there if it's not possible to hit? (unless it is, and I'm just a Gimp with a slow kicker)
He actually hits the double bass drums 15 times in the actual track where it shows the 8 bass lines. It's on most And Justice For All drum tabs.

that's my problem as well! i've done it once but threw an extra kick in there so it killed my combo, but it is infact possible!

I think I've gotten a streak of 4 or 5 before on a stock pedal, but I haven't mastered the rest of the song yet so I'm not really breaking my back trying to perfect that one phrase. Still, more than enough for 5 stars.

Sigh...here we go again.
15? O RLY? I don't think so. Try 8. Here's the drum tab:

And here's a screencap from the same part of the song in the game, where it makes you play 6 (not 8) kick drum hits. This is the one from ~4:22. (The one at the end of the song is only 4 hits, not even 6). I've numbered them to make it easier for you to count:

And to answer the original post, yes, I can hit those. No, I probably couldn't on the stock RB pedal because it sucks, but I don't use it, so that's pretty much a moot point :)

I use a stock pedal and hit them maybe 7 out of 10 times I try.

I'm pretty sure that drum tab is wrong/not that version, because they look and sound like triplet 16th notes to me.

Yeah it's definitely more than 8 notes. I don't care what that chart says.

Sorry, but you're both definitely wrong. This isn't some random drum tab I found online. I scanned that directly from the official drum tab book for that album from Cherry Lane Music (http://www.activemusician.com/item--HL.02503504). Ever heard of them? If you have, you know their stuff is right. If you haven't, well then you shouldn't be trying to say they're wrong.
They ARE 16th notes, but not triplets. And not more than 8. You can choose not to care what that chart says, but you're choosing to be wrong :)
If you listen closely enough and know what you're listening for, you can hear it yourself that it's only 8 notes.
