This makes me extremely upset. Muse is one of my favorite bands.

I won't be buying anymore DLC until this also gets released in the US, or is at least confirmed to eventually be coming.

Oh my God. The only source they've had is the play.com Live event, which has been discussed to death in this thread:
http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35983
It's been locked, so just go and read it.

This is what HmxJohnlok said about the tracks

"As always, until we announce the specifics on content, be it DLC or other content, consider unconfirmed rumors exactly that."

So basically they're swinging their leg back real high then want to kick us real hard in the nuts with an official announcement instead of just saying "don't worry tracks will be coming to all"

WHY!? Why why why!? I totally understand giving Europe some sweet extra stuff considering how ridiculously long they've had to wait for the game but after all the begging and pleading and the countless Muse request threads and posts, Why would you make this a Europe only thing!? WHYYYYY
/cry

North America gets screwed out of the new Muse dvd/cd HAARP and now we get screwed out of this? We love Muse too!

Yeah? Don't fancy getting flamed but us Europeans are still waiting for a release date for the whole game! Which do you think sucks more?

OK, I'm late to the party too, so maybe this has already been discussed, in which case I'll just hop on over in the corner and put on the tall, cone-shaped hat :)

The thing is, it just doesn't make a lick of sense. Why on Earth would HMX go through the trouble of licensing agreements, royalties, coding, charting and Bob knows what else and then refuse to make DLC available outside of Europe? I mean, once it's been made, NOT putting it up as DLC would be the same as leaving a big, fat wad of Benjamins lay undisturbed on the sidewalk.

So I'm thinking we're overreacting here. What it looks like to me is that the Europeans are going to get those songs in ADDITION, as a bonus WITH the game when they buy it which, as far as I'm concerned, is only fair. Really. We lucky few, we happy band of brothers Stateside have had the game since last year, so I don't see anything "unfair" in throwing our overseas cousins a free bone for having to wait for so long.

Put it this way: Would you happily trade the last three months or so of playing Rock Band in return for a handful of free songs? I want those songs too, in the worst possible way, but not that badly. Not badly enough that I'd be willing to go back in time and trade places with the Europeans in return for getting them for free.

Let them have a few freebies in return for the anguish of waiting for months without as much as a hint at a release date while the rest of us were having fun, I don't have a problem with that. Then, afterwards, I'll just go pay the measly two bucks a song to get them myself. Those ten bucks or so are easily worth it compared with the advantage I've had in being able to play for months already.

Again: I just don't see any logical reason to believe that HMX would leave the code for songs they've already secured the licensing rights to laying around just so "the U.S. won't get it." Really now. That'd be moronic.

We'll see those songs as DLC.

Fear not. HAARP is out in the US on April 1st.

This is probably the most dissapointing thing HMX has ever done to their fans, which in turn are their paying customers. When I bought Rock Band, I expected to see songs for DLC that everyone wanted. I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that a lot, if not ALL of the community wanted Hysteria and the other two listed. Like i've seen in the other threads related to this issue, EXCLUSIVE DLC SUCKS, EVERYONE LOSES!!!

No one said they won't. Stop acting like tards. Until there is an official announcement saying "YOU AMERICANS DON'T GET THE SONGS" I wouldn't spend my time worrying about it or making lame posts like this.

i hope to God this doesn't turn into a flame war like SH's thread did.

Positive for Europeans if we don't get these songs: you get exclusive content, an effort to make up for 6 damn months of waiting (sorry about that guys)

Positive for them if we DO get these songs: you'll be able to play them in band quickplay, because Americans could and likely will be put in your bands and you won't be able to play them

So...

Maybe all this is somekind of a unofficial announcement about the next week's DLC. At least, I hope!

Muse is on the way!
