So an Organization at my school is hosting a variety show to raise money for an African school, and as my entry, I am going to try and make a compilation song of cool guitar parts to air guitar to. do you guys have any ideas?

I figure I'll start out with a Fall Out Boy song, to fake everyone out, then stop suddenly, and go into the Sweet Child of Mine intro. Other parts I might put in:

Anything from Through the Fire and Flames
The Bulls on Parade scratch solo,
The solo for Highway Star,

and that's about all I've got for now.

Also, do you guys have any techniques? All I've got is playing down the neck, and doin some Angus Young schoolboy kicks, lol. I also have finger tapping on TTFAF...lol, i'm kind of new to air guitar.

protip: Stay away from "Guitar Hero Songs"

An exception to this would be Iron Man, a very excellent song to play on 'air guitar'.

is that because people reckognize them, or what? Cuz like, the whole reason i have bulls on parade, is for the the solo, where I would actually act like i was playing like Tom Morello, with the kill switch and scratching stuff.

I guess No one would really understand TTFAF, because everyone i know hasnt seen the video, and I'd do it sole for the "whammy throw" or whatever Li does when he lifts the guitar in the air and whammies.

Yeah, I'd ditch TTFAF. The rest is sweet though :P

yeah, i had planned to include sweet child o mine right after FoB, but I think i am going to switch it to the intro for welcome to the jungle. I need to find something to bridge between that and the Bulls on Parade solo, cuz i'd like to either end with highway star, or maybe something from wont get fooled again. idk tho

Pretty much any of Angus Young's high energy moves:

You could get in some Jimi Hendrix teeth/behind the head:
