Something That No-One Has Discussed (To My Knowledge)

I was just thinking to myself about how awesome this game is turrning out to be and what kind of band I wanted when a little bit of a startling thought came to my head. While I fully intend to use multiplayer quite often, there are going to be times when I want to play alone as well. So I was thinking about what kind of band I wanted in terms of characters, then I realized that no-one has thought to mention (or ask, or discuss) about the single-player aspect in terms of character customization.

Therefore, I ask for your thoughts on this issue. Now what I want to see is the ability to customize the entire band (I know you can create characters for all instruments) and put who you want where you want in single player. I.e. If I create a band named "Encore" (not my actual planned name, just a place holder) and want to put my created characters "Dick Strummer" on drums, "Denise Yeoun" on bass, "Jason Arnold" on Guitar and "Rob Dickenson" on Vocals can I do that?

I really hope so, as that would just truly make my day. And as a final thing, I would like to see all of the characters rocking out while playing, instead of just the character I'm playing. I don't want this to be like GH where the focus is on one character the entire time.

Anyways, I really hope HMX has implemented this and I'm looking forward to playing this game immensely.

Yeeahh.. I guess that would be alright as far as customizing the entire band, if Harmonix decides to put it in fine, if not, it really won't make much difference to me.

I almost have to say neither request will go through.

Single player, I have a feeling you won't be fully customizing the band, but I think you'll be able to choose a style of your band. For example, punk, emo, or metal. I don't think you'll be able to customize how they look, there's probably defaults that you play with.

And as far as focus goes, you're speaking of single player mode, therefore it will mainly concentrate on you. It will probably cut to the rest of the band more often than in GH, but I'd still expect a lot of focus being your character. It's single player, it will primarily focus on that single player.

Whereas, of course in any multiplayer mode, the attention will be spread out for all members.

I think that if your doing the solo world tour thing, for your band members you can pick either the preset characters or people you already created. That's pure speculation though and nothing has been confirmed.

Will preset characters have skill levels? In other words, can your best guitarist get mad and leave the band, sticking you with someone who can't strum 3 notes without a mistake? I should read more about the game, hehe.
