I need some tips for getting through "Electric Version" on expert mode with the guitar. It seems too slow to strum up/down and too fast to strum down. I keep crashing and burning from fatigue if I try to strum down, and I crash from missed notes if I strum up/down.
What's the best technique to use for this song? It's driving me nuts.

I personally strum down the whole time. I used to think it was almost too fast to keep up with, but now it's no problem. Just practice it and learn to get into the rhythm of the finger arrangements, really.

Ditto, I downstrum as well.
This song has it's own little unique rythym thing going on with the guitar, so if you aren't pretty familiar with the song... I'd suggest you keep practicing it until you can anticipate what's coming up. It's MUCH easier when you know what you're about to play before you see it.

Definitely a slow measured alt strum for me here, except for the fast triples.
The trick for me on the section with those triple notes is to immediately launch into the successive notes, I don't wait for them to scroll under or I tend to miss the start of them. Poor explanation... but it may be evident when you practice that section.
For the main section of that song, there's kind of a finger crossover effect that goes on. I really enjoy playing this song when I'm in the groove.

Man, you just made me remember how hard alt-strumming used to be. It's so natural for me now, I didn't even think about it.
I guess learn to alt-strum accurately. Sorry.

I downstrummed all throughout because the up-down stroking was killing the coordination in my left hand. It took me a while to get my strumming speed that fast for that long, but I could do it after a while.
